  1. We used that advil b/c we figured everyone can always use some. Sandals does not provide sun tan lotion, so another thing we figured that everyone could use (almost 70% of our guests forgot theirs, lol). Just throwing out some ideas. =)

     

    They do provide beers but only one in a bottle (I forget which kind). When you go to the bar, they serve you draft. Jamaica is all about red stripe and most of our guests prefer bottles over draft, so we thought that would be a cool thing. Plus I think most of the regular rooms don't come with beer in them. Ours did but we were in the concierge level. Plus we used the bottles for some cool wedding pics too.

  2. They do sell it there but everything that you can buy in your room (they set it up like in hotel rooms where you can buy food, etc) is kinda more expensive. We just went to a local supermarket and bought a bunch of our OOT bag stuff there.

     

    Sandals can call a taxi for you (think they are contracted by Sandals) so you can trust them. We got hot sauce, coffee & cold red stripe bottles there. Then we brought with us- chapstick, sun tan lotion, beer koozies, advil and took a bunch of brochures on Jamaica at the Montego Bay airport. They were a big hit and everyone used their little bags from OTC all week long.

    They told us you couldn't mix and match on the rehearsal dinner but you can with the ceremony. But they were very accommodating. My sister is a vegetarian and they brought her something from the Italian restaurant since both the choices we picked were meats. I thought that was extremely nice.

    Barefoot by the Sea was my favorite place to eat. We ate there 4 nights of the 7 we were there. I loved the jerk chicken at the Sandals Cafe on the beach. The sundowner had great breakfast food too.

    We opted to just do the i-pod thing and it worked out perfect. With went over with our wedding coordinator before the wedding what songs we were using and when to stop, play, etc for the ceremony and cocktail reception. Then for the dinner part, just hit play for the next couple of hours. Your WC could probably introduce you guys.

    For our 1st dance, it was in the grass. Just kinda where out cocktail part was. You can always go dancing later at the piano bar (where mostly everyone hangs out at night)
  4. For rehearsal dinner, there are 4 different options. If I remember correctly, it comes with an appetizer, entree (2 choices so the guest can choose) and one dessert. You and your FI have to pick it out beforehand. Than for the reception, it's kind the same thing but you can mix and match.

    So there was not a charge to have 2 options, they are nice and consider that not everyone likes the same thing =)

  5. If you are getting both in your package, they provide a menu for you to chose from. Unfortunately I don't have the rehearsal one saved still but the reception one with the choices are listed in my planning bio. I also have pics from both events in my married bio too. The food was great for the events, we went with mostly the seafood options since we were in the Caribbean but then also got chicken for those who do not like seafood.

  6. We got married at SNG in April at 5:00 PM (sunset). I'm very glad that we choose that location and time. B/c of the heat, I would defiantly recommend the later, the better. If you wanted it in the morning, I don't think they start weddings early enough for it to still be cool then, lol. We saw rain for only about 20 min. one day the whole entire week at about 2:00.

     

    We got married at the large gazebo right on the beach. Since everyone was inside getting ready for dinner, relaxing, etc there was barely anyone on the beach. Even if there were, you wont notice, at the moment, it'll only be you and your FI that you'll notice =) Feel free to ask any questions and GL.

  7. Sorry, thought all you needed was the vows. This is what I was given by my TA and we used the same wording. You can switch thing around if needed. For instance, they typically do the sand ceremony at the end, I wanted it to be earlier and have the blessing last, so they switched it around. HTH

     

    -We had the "opening"

    -The Sand Ceremony

    Lisa and Christian, you are making a commitment of your eternal love for one another. As you each hold your sand, the separate containers of sand represent your lives to this moment; individual and unique. As you now combine your sand together, your lives also join together as one. You may wish to leave a small amount of sand in each container to symbolize that although you are now joined as one, you each remain individuals. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pourin gof these two individual containers of sand one, representing you, Lisa and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, Christian, and all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.

     

    -The Vows

    I Christian, take you, Lisa to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow.

    -Then the blessing

    Now that Christian& Lisa have given themselves to each other by solemn vows with the joining of hands and giving and receiving of rings. I pronounce that you are husband and wife

     

    The whole ceremony ended up being a little over 20 min.
