I'm so excited you are having your wedding at Le Meridien in April! I can't wait to hear about it! Patricia the WC has been so so amazing. She has gone above and beyond our expectations and is so personal. We are 99% sure we'll be booking our wedding here in the next couple of days.

Lalanyc- Is there a specific reason why you chose not to book here after you visited? We won't have a chance to visit first because we had other vacations and friends' weddings coming up. I appreciate everyone's insight!!

MrsWallace810: I got married at Le Meridien and I loved it!! Your wedding is going to be fabulous!!! :) Let me know if you have any questions!!
  2. I'm so sorry about all this!! sad.gif I hope the vendors at least made the cancellation process easier on this difficult situation.

Are you still going ahead with the wedding ceremony? I hope so!! The most important thing is celebrating the love you two share. Even if no one else is there, you can always have another party another day. Try to make the most out of the tough situation. Enjoy the beautiful beach and not worry anymore!

Will be praying for you. *hugs*

  3. Hi Bellame00 - My package info was pricing from 2007, I think Le Meridien changed their menus for 2008. In 2007 they had buffet option which I think they no longer offer now. For the most part, timing was fairly strict. The wedding had to end by 11pm if it was outdoors. The day after our wedding we saw another wedding that had their reception indoors and going on until 2-3am. They were fairly open about bringing alcohol from outside area and using other vendors. I used their florist, music and minister, but brought my own photographer.

I worked with Jessica and she's really great.

They did offer me a group rate but around April/May time frame I found a sale on Expedia that was cheaper than what they offerred so none of my guests used the hotel group rates.

Let me know if you have more questions or if you want to see more pictures!!

  4. I always hang my dresses & shirts up, but I may or may not unpack the rest depending on the length of the trip and what class the hotel is.

If it is a shorter trip, I also live out of my suitcase. For longer trips, I would unpack things.

My husband used to unpack everything and would make me do that too. But somehow over the years he started to be ok living out of the suitcase too.

  5. In my opinion, I would say go for the album rather than the number of prints.

Assuming that your photographer will give you the digital files of your photos ( If not, maybe you should ask for that ), you can always make very good prints yourself later on from the various online printing labs.

However, albums that professional photographers have access to are not available to the consumer. Hence that album that you buy at Target will look pretty awful compared to the ones your photographer will make for you. Just don't go with the cheapest choice. You get what you pay for.

Flush mount albums are basically albums in which pictures are mounted flush on the pages. You can just google "flush mount album" and you'll be able to see plenty of examples and what they look like.

  6. At the time we were doing long distance (for about 5 years!). I was in Atlanta and he was in SF.

In 2007, I had to be in SF for work on July 9th, so I flew in a few days earlier to spend the weekend with him. On Saturday we decided to go to Sausalito, even though it was already 5ish when we finally headed that direction. He said earlier that week that he wanted to take some pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. I always loved Sausalito and couldn't wait for another chance to visit No Name Girl shop that I love.

By the time we got there and parked, it was around 5:50pm, but No Name Girl actually closed a bit earlier even though the store hours should be until 6pm. Ugh. He was making fun of me because this is the second time I missed it coming all the way up there. We walked around and I managed to get him to agree to take a few pictures together. I should have known something was different because he usually doesn't want to be in the picture. Then we moved on to Sushi Ran - a sushi place that my friend highly recommended.

Anyway, dinner ran longer than expected so we were behind schedule. It was already dark and we still haven't took any pictures of the bridge yet. He said we could still stop by on our way back, he wanted to take a picture of the night view anyway. Unfortunately we missed that last exit before getting on the bridge to get to the popular photo spot, so we crossed the bridge and drove around to find a spot where we could see the entire bridge. We ended up around Lincoln Park, near the CA Palace of the Legion of Honor and finally parked. He started to set up his camera while I was doing my usual self portrait with my camera. Then he asked if I can help him hold something so I went over. It was already very dark so I didnâ€t see what he put in my palm. Initially I thought it was a screw driver or the camera cap, but then I suddenly realized it's a ring!

    It's a diamond ring!!

Then I started screaming and then immediately said yes. Then I realized he hasnâ€t even asked me to marry him yet. He laughed and said he didnâ€t get a chance to because I've been screaming from the second I realized what it was. Finally he looked at me and asked "Will you marry me?" And I said yes for the second time.

That's how I got engaged :) Now I'll have to find time to write about my wonderful wedding :)
