    Yeah-I tried that-nothing would open!!!
  2. Ok- I'm a little retarded but could not figure out how to attach my file so I copy and pasted it into here-the pics didn't show upsad.gif Sorry, but maybe it's cause it's a pdf file-I don't know. If anyone wants me to e-mailit them directly I will but this is the list Kelli C. sent me and I don't know if this is in house or in room prices. I don know I spent a pretty penny on services but I paid for a trial, some waxing, nails, makeup, and 2 nieces hair up do's. It was worth it and I was TOTALLY satisfied (I'm very HM when it comes to beauty services too).

I also have a tip-I found it on Oprah-it's called Model in a bottle-it worked terrific for me!! It was a makeup setting spray and even crying didn't let my makeup run! Anyway try it-I ordered it online-under 20.00!

  3. I forgot to add a couple of things.

We did the "Romantic Dinner on the Beach"-it was extra $$ but I thought it would be cute to bring the top of our wedding cake and enjoy it after all of our guests left us:)

Well, here is the deal. Ambiance-Awesome! Service-pretty good-the guy was new to the whole thing and was sooooo nervous that I felt bad for him-he did a good job but it was weird! We are sitting there trying to eat and talk and all we could do was laugh because this poor guy is standing about 4 ft. off from us waiting for us to finish each course! WEIRD!! We felt like we had to eat super fast to get him out of our way!!

The food was pretty good but Dreams does not have food down to a science yet. He kept walking back to the restaurant to get our food-which was not close and then he brought it out on a tray-but it wasn't covered-so by the time it got to our mouth it was luke warm or cold! Otherwise the food would've been pretty good-warm that is.

If you have dinner at the Seaside Grill one night- you HAVE to request the Flaming Mexican Coffee. It was FABULOUS!! I even took a little video of our waiter preparing it-soooooo cool!! I'll never find that in VA!!! It was really delicious!!

I would definately do a Mariachi again. it's the whole Mexico feel etc and they were good! mI thought way worth the money! After the ceremony we did family and group pics immediately (4pm worked wonderfully by the way) then they all strolled over to the cocktail part of the reception that started at 5pm and the Mariachi was playing when they arrived. It was perfect timing. We stayed behind and did our pics but told the photographer we didn't want to miss the Maricahi-she accommodated nicely!

Rebecca-you were probablyright on with using Mariana as much as possible. I guess I just assumed the hotel catered special to wedding people and their guests on the day of-guess I was wrong! Oh-well everything else went soooo smoothly-to only have that complaint for the day is not too bad!!!

Anyway, I'm off:) Feel free to ask more questions.

I do have a price list for MexSun-I will post as soon as I find it!

    Cheers!

  4. OK-so here I go:)

We were married at Dreams Resort Nov.11, 2006 at 4pm.

Dreams- A+/A- Dreams was great for almost everything! We loved the people that were working at the various bars/restaurants etc. The grounds were beautiful and for the most part everyone was very accommodating. We had some issues with the way we were "treated" though. On the day of the wedding I had myself, my "girls" my mom, my nieces etc all in my room getting ready and we wanted some champagne sent to the room-they wouldn't do it!! I was sooooooo annoyed that I called the GM of the hotel to my room. He came as I was sitting there having my hair, nails, and makeup done, looking at me as if I was the biggest B for bothering him, but I was like listen-we have booked 25 rooms at this hotel (which is AI) and we are getting married here-if we want a couple of bottles of champagen sent to the room then just do it!! He said he would but acted like he didn't care. Apparently my husband to be was downstairs at the same time asking for champagen to be sent up-kinda funny:) So, we did get the champagne but it was a hassle!! They just didn't treat us like we brought this large group to their hotel for our wedding-it was kinda disappointing! 1 day our room wasn't even cleaned and the GM swore to me that rooms were cleaned daily-I had to restate that ours wasn't one day and our guests were getting better treatment than we were-HUGE rooms, animal towels, rose petals etc-we didn't get any of that until the night of our wedding!!! I was just annoyed at it!

The Explorers Club was great for the people who brought kids with them. The kids LOVED it and could've cared less where there parents were-until they closed it for 3 days and didn't open a room in the hotel to host it at. They were spraying for termites or something so they just closed it down! This was why I picked Dreams-family oriented with a kids club! You don't just close it down you rearrange so the guests can still utilize the service-so annoying!!!!!!

Food-at our reception-was FABULOUS!!! The rest of the time-good but not great. Portofino was the best in my opinion-and breakfast was always good too:) There is poolside lunch service which I didn't know about until 1/2 way through our stay-but it was decent too.

Marianna-She was not the original coordinator that I had when I started all of this. She was great though! She was very well organized and is always around-she will help w/anything you need!! I started with Ericka, and 3 days before I left for Mexico she informed me that she was leaving the hotel before I would arrive and that she gave all of my info to Marianna! I freaked out but it all worked out great!!

I actually was able to meet Rebecca from this group while I was there too! It was soo funny-I saw this girl at the desk and from her pic on here I knew it was her-she was married the day after us:)

OK on with the rest of my vendors (which I hired all on my own-did not use the hotel except for flowers-that were included in my wedding pkg)

Outside Coordinator- A+ Coca (Georgina Espinoza-Cabo Dream Weddings)

She was FABULOUS-knows what she's doing and has great taste!! She actually had the blood test people meet us at the hotel to do our blood tests-a little bit extra $$ but WAY worth it!!! She also knew all the people I hired-for the most part-so it was easy for her to communicate with them:)

    Her contact info: [email protected]

Hair and Makeup-A++++ MexSun-Ask for Neysa!! She was great! I had a trial run and then she came day of too. She speaks English, is from CO, is very nice, and does a FABULOUS job! The owner is Kelli Castineiras-also speaks English and is awesome as well! They come to you or you can go to them for cheaper prices. I didn't want to deal with leaving the resort so I had them come to us. They will bring as many helpers as you need for other gils' hair, nails etc. too. Conatct info: [email protected]

Mariachi-A+ Mariachi Los Cabos-They were great! We had them for 1hr during the cocktail part of our reception-great entertainment-and very talented! Worth the money (500.00 for 1 hr)! Their contact info is Jose Luis Gonzalez: [email protected]

Cake- A+ Dessert Diva-Jennifer Hatton. She took my picture an created exactly as I wanted it! It was perfect and she has LOTS of connections-that is how I found Coca:) It looked just as I imagined it would:) I was very pleased! her contact info is: [email protected]

DJ- Antares/Yeyo-A++++++++ I can't begin to say how much fun my reception was-did you see the pics I posted of everyone wearing the chair bows on their heads??! Nobody sat down! It was 3 straight hours of dancing!! Antares was supposed to do my reception but he had another wedding (Janet Daly's) so he had one of his counterparts do it. Yeyo was our DJ-and he was fabulous!! Highly reccommended!! They are 200.00 per hour-and worth it! Contact info is: [email protected]

Photographer-Gilda Badillo A++++ I really liked her and wish I had hired her for longer because we did sparklers at the end and the hotel next door did HUGE fireworks that I wish she could've taken pics of-but oh well! We hired her for 2 1/2 hrs and she just snapped photo after photo. She's very into candid photos so the only disappointment is we didn't have any front posed pics where we weren't laughing or staring into each other's eyes etc. Other than that she was great!! Our wedding was on Sat. and she had her assistant bring us a whole hard copy album on Thursday before we left w/ a DVD of EVERY pic she took w/ out copyright so we could do with them as we wanted-which for the price was AWESOME!! We paid 650.00 for 2 1/2 hrs. Highly reccommended! Her contact info is [email protected]

So, all in all it was FABULOUS!! We had a great time and would do it all again every year til the end of time!! The weather was awesome too! I want to go back because we only got a few hours during the day in downtown Cabo-too much going on!

I posted my pics already-they are from guests and Gilda's too:)

I rate the experience as an A+

Any questions feel free to ask!

    Cheers!

  5. HAHAHA! Those are the chair ties everyone is wearing on their heads!!! I don't know who started it but everyone was feeling pretty good right about then and juststarted wearing them! My dad was acting like a pirate and people were pulling them between their legs-it was hilarious!! I did have to make an announcement that they had to be left behind because people were taking them!

The flower girl head wreaths-I made-not real

The girls dresses-JCrew-inexspensive and they will totally wear them again-I actually have the dress in 2 different colors:)

Cake was by Jennifer-Dessert Diva-it was very good-and it looked just like I imagined it too-perfect!!!

I promise I will write a review-but everything was FABULOUS!!!! I think we may go back every year to renew our vows!!!

  6. My FI and I went to Aventura a couple of years ago for some R&R. It was the best!!!!! We would've been married there but it was all adultssad.gif We absolutely loved it and that's how we decided on Mexico in general! I think the pic of the room is the room we stayed in-probably not but it looks just like it! It is great though-for anyone interested in going:) It was humid as hell though at the end of May!!!! FYI!

  7. Here are some other things I try to utilize:

Dottie's Weight Loss Zone website, 2% Kraft Am.Cheese slices (1pt per slice) broth or tomato based soups-very low in the point range, Lite Caesar salad kit (2 pts for 1 cup), skinny cow anything, ww or lean cuisine meals, turkey cutlets (2 pts each and very good), ww english muffins and bagels, spray butter, Land O Lakes Fat Free 1/2 n 1/2, HC turkey slices, 100 calorie packs, La Tortilla factory carbless tortillas in various flavors (-0 pts-seriously!!), lots of veggies, lite and fit yogurt, diet tonic, diet sodas, soda water, zip fizz (costco), drinking lots of water, Crystal light to-go's, if you get a craving for fast food-KIDS CHICKEN TENDER MEAL, Subway:) California rolls, steamed dumplings, reg. coffee not lattes etc.,

  8. I make this as a topping for fish, chicken, pork, flank steak etc. It's awesome on just about anything!

1 large yellow pepper-seeded and cut into think strips

    1-2 jalapenos-seeded and diced

    12 garlic cloves diced

1 med-large sweet yellow onion-cut into thick strips

    1 can diced tomatoes

    1-2 tblsp capers-drained (I don't use these)

    Cumin

    Chili powder

    Cayenne pepper

In medium fry pan-spray with nonstick cooking spray-add diced garlic and onion.

Cook until onion is soft. Stir in tomatoes, capers, jalapeno and yellow pepper-sprinkle desired amount of cumin, chili powder, and cayenne-bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5-10 minutes or until desired consistency.

It's sooooo easy and virtually NO POINTS!! It's all veggies:) I love it on grilled fish and pork loin:) Seriously- it's great on all meats I've tried it on though. It might even be good with eggs??

    Anyway, enjoy!!
