Has anyone used the videographer onsite - have samples or feedback? I heard from my WC that the vendor fee applies to Photographer & Videographer. I am bringing a photographer from the US, but I am hoping to hire someone local for video. There are two local companies that I have found that have a modern style of work which I would like to hire, I'm just bumming to have to pay the extra $500 on top. Would love feedback on the on-site company. Thanks!

The lobby bar is great for the cocktail hour, but there is not food/apps there - maybe some popcorn. I've been to barcelo a few times and if you want food you have to goto one of the buffets, which doesn't really have the "cocktail" theme.

I just returned from Barcelo. I stayed as a guest 01/03/11 - 01/10/11. I shot a wedding on the 7th for a good friends of mine, I own a studio where I am from so it worked out well. There were 57 Adults + 1 Kid in the wedding. Here is a link of some photographs/wedding I took, I would HIGHLY recommend Barcelo for a wedding. I love this shoot. I am coming there is a few weeks. I would looove to use this location! How big is that cenote area.. pretty easy to find if I asked the hotel to bring myself and client their. I have a big vision for a day after shoot, jungle.. mid summers nights dream style. btw, do you have a blog? love your style and work.
