Hey Georgina congrats on the upcoming wedding! Hope you share your story and review after ???? which resort are you staying at? I know if any guest is at akumal or sian kaan they automatically get privilege to all 4 resorts but I believe I also remember reading that about the wedding packages for at least the bride and groom. I think the increase package means more access to family of the bride and groom. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review ???? I have a few questions, What did you play your music on for the ceremony I saw a few brides talking about an app or something? Where did you order your personalized sunglasses from? I am also privatizing the grand tortuga restaurant, don't really want people to have to go up to the buffet so I'm talking to them about a set menu but would also like the swords. I was just planning on using the alloted time (4 hours) plus maybe adding on an hour and doing all of the dancing in the tent, I do like the idea of the pool side dance but don't really want to pay more.. I really like that you said they included some decorations in this option as I was thinking of renting some from a local vendor. I was wondering how much you paid for the pool reception after? I agree anytime between November to April is good with mid to late April starting to get very hot! The prices in February and March can get more pricy due to lots of travellers with March break for kids and universities in February. Hey jamiemccallion have you figured out what your doing yet? My mother in law is insisting on me wearing a long veil but I at most would like only a birdcage veil or just a hair accessory/flower crown. This may sound strange but I think I met your father in law when I was in Mexico (feb 25-march 6) at the tulum round bar I was on my way from my meeting with the wedding coordinator who was yours as well ???? he seems so nice. He told me about his new daughter in law that has Russian family so they had a nice Russian salad appetizer at the grand tortuga. That's why I started thinking about this restaurant! Looking for advice on wedding dinner choices. I am staying in akumal for my wedding in November and was recently provided with the menus to choose my dinner. My fiance is a pretty picky meat and potatoes kind of guy and I'm kinda disappointed in the options available. Thinking of using the Brazilian, la grand tortuga but wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a group of about 30-35. I am currently thinking about going shopping for wedding dresses and I was hoping to spend in total max $1000 with potential alterations ect included. I found a dress online from a reputable company I love but can't get past not being able to try it on. Am I crazy to think I can walk into a bridal store and find a nice dress within my budget? I also have a question about bridesmaid's dresses. I am in love with the idea of convertible dresses as they seem to be good for multiple body types but sometimes they don't look the most flattering due to how the fabric drapes. I have a bridesmaid who is having a baby in August and with my wedding in November I really want her to be comfortable and not have to stress about it fitting. I was wondering if anyone has used the company show me your mumu, I love there bmd but there sizes only go up to xxl which doesn't even seem very large on the sizing guide. Thanks for any input! Hello congrats! I am also planning a November 2017 wedding in Mexico! I am going through a travel agent and I find them helpful, mine has a certification in wedding planning as well so bonus with making sure we have all the details getting closer to crunch time. She was also willing to make a website for us and posts info on it as we need. Another advantage of a travel agent is they can get you a group discount, depending on travel company and number of guests, like air transat every 21st guest is free stay or travel. For prices I am looking at a 4.5/5 star the grand bahia akumal and was quoted 1545 all inclusive from Toronto. Just to give a ballpark for wedding packages my Resort start at 1400 and go up to 3500. Look into the grand bahia or riu resorts. I have been to both in Punta Cana, Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica and they are all very nice resorts with options for both all ages and adults only. Sent from my SM-G920W8 using Tapatalk
