  1. Hello! Grand sunset princess has wedding ceremony and reception options available. There is one restaurant right on the beach so you can have dinner/ dance on the Good luck!
  2. I got married January 2017 at Grand sunset princess. We had about 60 people. We gomarried at the sunset gazebo. We had dinner at one of the buffets as our group wss too large for one of the restaurants. After dinner we went to the beach for cocktails and mingling/ dance. From there we went to to disco and partied the rest of the night away. The resort is big and very beautiful. I felt there was something for everyone. Our wedding planners name was Lizeth. She was great and got back to me fairly quickly. I have a feeling they are all great there was a wedding every day at that resort and we stayed for 2 weeks! For the beach cocktails i wasn't sure if there would be music or if we could bring a little cordless speaker as we did not want to $800 for a dj for only a coupme hours. But there was some background music so it was nice. It felt intimate which is what i was wanting. Overall we had a perfect day, i felt calm and relaxed and didn't worry about a thing i just enjoyed the day! The only real con was sunwing. Upon arrival they made us gather in an area to get our room keys and then we had to find our room in the dark. It was a ling day of travel and was the last thing we wanted. But other then that it was great. It was also close to playa del carmen and they offeres shuttles to and from for like 2 dollars. I hope this helped! Nankleiner
  3. That is good to hear @mention! Out of curiosity where did you see those reviews? Lol I seem to have issues navigating this site I do love the idea of the cocktail i feel like it has the best of all the worlds
  4. Hi Becky! I am with you on the diner/reception! I would love to see what others went with! We have our wedding day confirmed for January 27, 2017! So excited to get the planning started but overwhelming all at the same time! The package we were sent has so much information! I am considering just having diner in the buffet.. I thought I read somewhere they block off an area for you. And then we were looking into having a cocktail hour after that on the beach. This seemed to be the best option for us. Our group will be around 60 people. So the cocktail hour gives us some privacy that we were looking for. And they have a few options of types of cocktails you can have. We might do just do drinks feels like a fun way to celebrate. And a way to keep cost down. Just not sure if we can just get a sound system that we could connect an ipod to...so many questions Good luck with your planning! Janinne
  5. Hi @acw271011a Yes we are working with. Travel agent! We have decided to go with GSP for our wedding. The wedding planner sent me A LOT of info and it was kind of overwhelming! We could potentially have a fairly large group and i wasn't seeing any options that would fit with our budget... but i saw that you can have a beach cocktail party so that works for me! I was hoping for something a little private where we could do speaches and that kinda of stuff. It's hard because you don't fully know what it all looks like. But I think we are in the right direction. Just not sure the questions to ask. I ???? Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
  6. Hi! I am new at this!! We are in the process of finalizing the resort. I love the look and feel of this resort but just woundering if any of you have any advice for me? I am going through all of the packages and it's all so overwhelming. We are expecting anywhere from 50 to 70 people and it doesn't look like i will be able to get what I had in mind without paying big bux for it Any pointers on where to start would be appreciated!
