  1. @@MesaMiso - For Hyatt Ziva Cancun if you pick the Lavish and Opulent package the extra per person cost is $85 USD for each guest above 20. This covers everything in the package for each additional guest. The $85 USD cost is the current price for 2017 but this is always subject to change. The Bonus Events Promotion is being offered currently but you should have this information from your travel agent. It is based on the number of rooms in your group block so your travel agent will have to confirm this to the resort in order to qualify. The promotion is only valid on group contracts of 10 rooms or more, with 3 nights each or more, individual reservations do not qualify. If you have any more questions you can contact us through this form here as I am one of the TA/Wedding Planner for BDW, and I also attended Hyatt Ziva Cancun's Grand Opening just last year. @@rebeccarpeck1 Most resorts will only start working on your wedding plans about 3-7 months prior to your wedding date. I think you have a good idea on waiting until you have your guest count in as that will make everything a lot easier for you and your planning. If you do decide on private reception (which will be amazing for sure) have that updated in your contract as soon as you make your decision. If you have any more questions you can contact us through this form here as I am one of the TA/Wedding Planner for BDW.
  2. @smfahey Congratulations on your destination wedding at Barcelo!! Are you working with a TA already as they will be the best to help guide you with all the options available at Barcelo. You can contact us through this form here as I am one of the TA's for BDW.
  3. @Latashaingram Congratulations on your destination wedding in Punta Cana!! I would strongly recommend you both work with a TA as we seem to get answers a lot quicker back for our clients. Also when looking at group pricing we look at all options available and quote you the best price with all details explained. There is a lot of work involved when planning a destination wedding so why not work with a professional as there is no extra cost to you for our services. You can contact us through this form here as I am one of the TA's for BDW.

  5. @@krystalball sorry for the delay as my name was not @ correctly so I didn't know see your response till now. I am based in BC so not familiar with Quebec laws but I do know they vary. Also group pricing is different than what you find online as individual pricing but it is given to us agents in a lump sum amount so we do not have any breakdowns either. So we are unable to say how much of that base price is the air portion vs the hotel portion. And if the free credit is a resort promotion then that doesn't mean it will always cover the air portion either. It will be best to talk to your agent for better clarification as we said before we cannot confirm anything without seeing your contract and knowing all the terms when you signed.
  6. @@JPatel1987 congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding and welcome to BDW! As @@MarieSamSanchezPhoto mentioned there are a lot of factors that go with picking the right destination for your wedding especially if you are planning to have a religious ceremony and/or events. I used to live in London so I have travelled all over Europe but I primarily plan weddings in Mexico or the Caribbean especially for my Indian weddings. You can email me at preety@travelbyplatinum with any specific questions or contact us through this form here with any questions as I am one of the TA's for BDW and specialize in Indian Weddings.
  7. @@krystalball with Transat the free passenger credit is usually based off double occupancy (triple, quad don't apply), in the lowest room category (sometimes certain categories do not apply) and with everyone booking 7-night packages. If any guests in your group booked less than 7-nights or resort only they do not count towards your rate. The $1089 rate may possibly have the surcharges, extra taxes and connector fees included. Or if your quote was priced match through another supplier this will vary your calculations as well. As @@TADarci mentioned it is hard to confirm without seeing your contract and knowing the exact terms as it varies with each resort brand as well.
  8. @@4thelongHALL Congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding! I have worked with PlayaWeddings before with my past brides and love their work. They are very reliable and have a great eye with their work. You are in great hands if you pick them. Also as the others have mentioned working with a TA will definitely help narrow down your options for resort within your guests budget as well have the key things you are looking for for your dream wedding. Feel free to private message me or contact us through this form here with any questions as I am one of the TA's for BDW.
  9. @@beachbeth Congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding and welcome to BDW! Which country are you having your destination wedding in? And is it a legal or symbolic ceremony? Keep in mind their local laws on how many days you need to arrive depending on what kind of ceremony you are having. Best to confirm with your onsite Wedding Coordinator. You can always try to arrange that you arrive before your guests if you wish to have more time at the resort before they arrive. If you need any help please contact us here as I am on of the Canadian TA's for BDW.
  10. @@JRodz the rooftop terraces I was referring to are for the wedding location venues. Check with your wedding coordinator what is available for your dates and what would best accommodate your group size. For your choice of room I would recommend going with a view that you really want. There are some great swim up suites available as well with oceanviews too. Please let me know if there is anything else?
  11. @@JRodz Welcome to BDW and congrats for your wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun! I posted photos to my agency instagram @travelbyplatinum as you can see the room view I had which was the Hyatt Ziva Dolphin View Master King plus photos around the resort. Double check to what category you will receive for your upgrade but note they are not always guaranteed and based on availability at check-in. For this reason it may be better to pick the category you wish to have for your stay as the views are worth it! How many people are expecting to attend? There are some great rooftop terraces depending on size. Where are you planning on having your wedding ceremony? Let me know if you have any other questions I am happy to help.
  12. @Happiegerl Congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding! I was just at the Grand Opening Gala at Hyatt Ziva Cancun that took place last month and met with the Weddings Manager while staying there. The resort is stunning and has great wedding venues. The $6 per chair is very standard with each resort and decor company. As @@dreamweddings suggested there may be options for the dance floor depending what type and size you require. Feel free to private message me with any questions as I am one of the Canadian TA's for BDW or contact through this form here if you need help you with planning your dream destination wedding!

  14. @@GwendolynB Congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding! And welcome to all other brides inquiring about Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I was just at the Grand Opening Gala that took place last month and posted a lot of photos on my agency's Instragram @travelbyplatinum. The photos do not do justice to how beautiful the resort is. I would strongly recommend talking to a TA to help with your group room block and any questions you have about the resort and wedding details. Feel free to private message me with any questions as I am one of the Canadian TA's for BDW or contact through this form here to help you with planning your dream destination wedding!
  15. @@lmcoonrod Congratulations on your upcoming destination wedding! Playacar Palace is a beautiful resort and in the perfect location off 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. Being a small boutique resort with only 200 rooms it may be tight for a large group of 100. Have you spoken with a TA regarding a group block yet? I would strongly recommend talking to a TA so you can better understand the group block and resort options for your wedding. I am a TA with BDW and we are all very knowledgable on Playacar Palace so you can private message me with any questions or contact us through this form here to help you with planning your dream destination wedding!
