  1. Hi I don't know if you have already married or not but I just returned from my wedding in the Bahamas. We used Weddings in the Bahamas and it was the best decision ever. The Cloisters is absolutely amazing and Luciano's was wonderful as well. I will be glad to share pics and stories with you as I know how nerve racking this can be. In the middle of planning, I was diagnosed with cancer and thought I would have to cancel, even through all of that, Anne-Marie with Weddings in the Bahamas was so flexible and just great. Feel free to contact me and like I said, I would be more than willing to share our experience and pics with you. All of the vendors she uses were great. I have not seem my photos yet, but I think he got some great shots. Good Luck to you and let me know if I can be of any help.
  2. I can relate. I started feeling that way too. One of my guest actually said, if they want to be there, they will. If not, they won't. It's your day. I am trying to keep it under a cap of 2200 per couple and we are paying for wedding attire. It's only one MOH and BM but still. We are doing a home reception too later. I think we bring this pressure on ourselves! We have to let that go. Wooo-saaa! Lol
  3. Hi All, I'm a newbie considering Atlantis as well. We have a small number (maybe 35) and I was advised to do earlier in the day to avoid the heat and crowd. I talked with Gigi, she seems really nice! Venue may be Ocean's Overlook, which is covered. Then a reception luncheon. We will probably just all get together later and go to the club I keep hearing about. The wedding will be on a Thursday. I'm just worried about the cost to add decor to make it look pretty. Does anyone know if they let you bring anything of your own there (like decor). I only have one Maid of Honor and of course a Best Man. Intimate group...second wedding for both of us so simple and intimate is my motto. I did the 350 guest wedding before and well....we see how that turned out!!HAHAHAH. Any advise is appreciated!
  4. Hi I was also interested in this hotel/location because it is formerly Dreams Cancun and it has a wonderful private gazebo for the ceremony site. I actually almost booked another location thinking it was the same one. But as i keep researching, it saysit's not due to open until late 2015.... not 2014. Do you have any more details about that? Ignore me. .. different location. Sorry!
  5. Yes. Sorry. It's the Dreams Riviera Cancun. I'm waiting to hear back from them. I hope I can book my date. I'm pretty set now on this location. All I need is to be able to finalize the packages for my amount of guests! Keep your fingers crossed. I'll go check out DRC. Thanks!
  6. Hi all I am new to this thread as I'm looking for a resort and the more I look, the more I am getting drawn to Dreams Cancun. I want to thank the bride that posted the pic of the gazebo location. It looks beautiful and private. That was my main fear was to have random people walking around during my wedding. The room prices are not bad either. Can anyonr tell me if they have more than the allotted number for the packages? If so, how much extra is it per person. I'm thinking we may have about 40 people, but the Caprice package is only up to 20. How does that work? Thanks in advance!
  7. Hi I know this is probably a long shot, but I was online looking for information about Riu Cancun. I see that you were looking for assistance back in April or so of last year and I wondered how things went for you there? Were you satisfied with everything? It looks really nice and I'm just wanting someone with personal experience to share any thoughts. Thanks in advance! Bride to be Keisha
  8. Can anybody tell me the approximate cost of BP? I was just sent a brochure with all these free quotes but I don't really understand that. I will have about 30 guest for about three nights. I have not booked them yet. Still researching. Thanks
