  1. Hi All, These are great suggestions and I took a few ideas, that's for sure. But now that we're in 2015, what are some other good suggestions? Not that I don't like the good ol' songs, I definitely do... but I need some suggestions of some more recent music to add to my list.
  2. I just bought my dress for my wedding! Since it's a beach wedding and a 2nd marriage for me and my fiance, we aren't going very formal. I purchased an Alfred Angelo bridesmaid's dress- their styles can be ordered in ivory (and white, etc) so it makes it easy to use them as less-formal wedding dresses. I'll post the pic- it's in purple, but I ordered it in Ivory. I'll try to post the ivory one, too, but in the pic you can't tell that the layers are chiffon, not satin. My fiance will be in khaki colored slacks and a nice ivory/ white button-down shirt.
  3. I am looking for a reputable website for buying boarding pass wedding invites also. I've tried Etsy, though somewhat expensive, and I've looked at Wedding Paper Divas and Invitations by Dawn. I saw a few others on line but can't tell if they are reputable or not. If anyone else has suggestions, I'd love to know! And if I find anything, I'll reply and post it! Oh, how could I forget... Kleinfeld Paper had them. I ordered a sample and it's cute though I just wish it had something different than the shell design, would prefer a floral design... I need to go back to that website and see if they have other choices.
  4. Hello! I've seen a few topics about symbolic vs. legal ceremony but none really answer my question. I went to the DR consulate web page and it lists the translation fee of $70 (US$) per PAGE in each document necessary. SO, this means we will definitely have a symbolic wedding. So, exactly what documents will need to be translated for a symbolic wedding in the DR? And if there are any, a) do I have to get the translation done through the consulate and b)if not, do you have any recommendations for other places to use? Thanks!
  5. My fiance and I just got engaged a week ago. We are having a small wedding in Puerto Plata... (It's our 2nd for each of us.) We have to reserve the Villas and pay to do so. Therefore, we had to verbally ask those who are being invited and (unfortunately) explain that they will need to pay for a small portion of their stay upfront as required by the resort. So we will already know who is coming... Can I still send official invitations? I don't like the informality of only 'asking'. Thoughts??
  6. Hi, I just got engaged last weeked :D and we decided on a DW in Puerto Plata. The resort package includes almost everything... except Photographer and music for the reception. Any recommendations? They say they use Tropical Studio, has anyone used them before? I have been reading about HDR, who sounds good but they're in Punta Cana and have a travel fee for coming to this end of the island. Thanks for any help!!
