  1. @@talicea7812 Do you mind sending the pictures to my email jb2b@live.com? My wedding is November 8th and at this time paned to bring my own centerpieces. But if I could get them already assembled there that would be better.
  2. Are there any brides who have had early wedding times? I'm thinking of having an early wedding to allow options for the reset of the day. What is the earliest you would consider having your wedding time? I see you posted pics...Would you mind sending them to my email jb2b@live.com? Thanks
  3. I'm relieved to hear that someone had a great experience with a DJ. We fill that this will be one of the most important thing for us and our guest. I see that Mega DJ's rate is $1000. Does this include the outside vendor fee? We will be at Azul Fives and they charge an outside vendor fee. Also would you have the website or contact info for Mega DJ? Thanks for your reply!! Oh and CONGRATS!!!
  4. Hi, would you mind sending me pics as well through email? jb2b@live.com I am also deciding to have my ceremony in the garden gazebo....thanks for the insight on privacy in the location. That is definitely something to consider. This forum has really helped settle my nerves!! Thanks to all the brides and future brides!
  5. @@isymiyake2000 thank you for the information. I was assuming the same thing about the garden gazebo after seeing pictures. If you wouldn't mind could I email you directly to ask a question? I want to get an idea of the quote range you received for selecting your own decor outside of what Lomas had onsite. Not sure if you felt comfortable posting this info onsite. Did you use the DJ Lomas provides? We are mostly interested in our reception and making sure the music is fantastic so the two of us and our guest can dance the day away!! : )
  6. @@Lilgabri03 Thanks for your input. I will take that into consideration when planning. Glad to hear you had a wonderful wedding!! @Ligabri03 Did you purchase all of your decor from Lomas? This may be a silly question but I am a little confused with the purchase options on their site. Did you have to pay for each individual item, i.e centerpieces, table settings, room decor, etc? I am planning to do the garden gazebo for the ceremony and then the reception in the ballroom as a 4hr private event. I'm just trying to save money where I can. I'm really not into the whole flowers thing and would mind doing something different but I don't see any options for that. I've also read on some of the threads that some brides have chosen to bring their own decorations but the idea of that is really starting to freak me out. IDK?!?!?
  7. This is for all the brides who are considering bring their own decorations. Was it hard traveling or coordinating with guest/bridesmaids to see who could help bring some of your decorations over? I am seriously considering bringing most of my decor but I'm afraid that due to the traveling I may be very limited on what I can actually bring. Are there any previous brides who can give me some feedback on this and possible ideas of things you were able to bring? Thanks in advance for your help!! : )
  8. ello Brides, I am getting married on Nov 8th, 2014 @ 11am at Azul Fives. I am expecting around 80+ guest (maybe close to 100). I've selected the "Always and Forever" wedding package. This package has minimal decorations and I am interested in adding my own touches. I've read a few responses suggesting to bring your own decorations with setup fee of $250. My biggest concern is traveling with the decorations and favors for guest. I do have a wedding planner who will be traveling with me to the resort. Should I have her bring these items? I just don't want to be stressed out over this when traveling. We are planning to do the private event/reception following the wedding. I haven't yet decided the location as our wedding is taking place in the AM. My fiance and I are just really excited about being able to have so many family and friends attend our wedding. We both LOVE to party and would really like a fun filled reception. I hoped to add my own decorations to this as well. Does anyone have any opinions regarding the DJ? The cost is like $1500-$2000. Pretty steep for a DJ that I am not familiar with. I did read somewhere that you are able to send them music (happy about that). I've also heard from some past brides who used the DJ that they would have also been okay using the IPOD & Speaker setup. Any location suggestions for early afternoon reception (wedding @ 11am)? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the info! I'm more than certain that I will be doing the same. Lomas prices are just too expensive for what they offer. Our splurge expense is our photographer who we will be bring with us and paying for his room expense. I will check out the DJ options on the Lomas website. I noticed that your wedding date is nearly around the same time we are having our wedding. How was the weather? The ceremony is in the Garden Gazebo and since it is a morning wedding we having decided on a reception location. Based on your experience, what would you suggest?
