Hi, I too am planning a destination wedding for 2015. I am a newbie and I just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Toronto but I am from Jamaica. As a result I am looking for a more authentic Jamaican experience for my guests and I. I will be renting a private villa in Oracabessa (short drive from Ocho Rios) for all 30 of my guests. Its called Golden Cove Villas and it comes with private chef, housekeeping etc. Its pretty affordable considering the guests split the costs with you. I am still debating whether I should have the reception on the grounds or at Firefly (another breathtaking venue in the area). Ceremony will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Ocho Rios. Btw anyone looking for a beautiful church to have their ceremony at Our Lady of Fatima is seaside and has amazing views of the ocean definitely check them out. Now that I have the nitty gritty decided I am now looking for a good wedding coordinator and some reputable vendors! Well, that pretty much sums up my research. I am excited about the wealth of infotmation this site has to offer!!!!!!
