  1. Hello Lorraine, I just posted my experience with Costa Rica Destination Events in another post. They were the ones responsible for creating the most gorgeous day in my life. A day I will never forget! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via PM. Love, Hellen
  2. Hi Sammie, I hope I am not too late responding to your post. Where do I start? A friend recommended Costa Rica Destination Events to me and I am so glad I went with them. Paul & Marcela went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was exactly what we had imagined and to be honest it turned out even BETTER than I could have ever dreamed of. After the wedding, everyone was saying how exotic and elegant everything was. Words cannot even describe. When I walked in I couldn't stop smiling at how beautiful everything looked. Not only did they make sure everything was absolutely beautiful for our wedding but working with Paul and Marcela was like working with really good friends. They responded immediately, were very flexible and through it all, very professional. Their service was just amazing. From day 1, they were always on time and very friendly. Every time we talked to discuss all the details, they put my mind at ease and took away any concerns I could have had. And to be honest, I had absolutely no stress when it came to my wedding because I trusted them completely. They even responded to my emails and phone calls through the night when I had some new ideas I wanted to share… They were so easy to work with and we couldn't have chosen a better company. I can go on and on about how great Costa Rica Destination Events is and how appreciative I am of what they did for us. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them. They literally brought our ideas to life and went beyond any expectations. You really would not regret at all choosing them to do your wedding. I recommend them to everyone and a friend of ours already booked them for her destination wedding in Costa Rica this year.
  3. Hi there! Pacifico is where we held our wedding reception very nice place! Few tips about Coco. Just follow big-city safety rules. The first step is not attracting attention to yourself. Leave all jewelry at home. Don't carry expensive electronics with you ie ipad, laptop, camera etc. Don't leave anything unattended on the beach Never leave anything in your car. NEVER lol Only use proper taxis (Red cars with yellow triangle on the doors) Just like you wouldn't walk down the dark alley at home don't it there Only carry the cash you need for the outing. I hardly have more that $50 (25,000 colones) on me at any giving time, often much less, most places accept credit cards so you yours as primary form of payment. Make sure to put any valuables you may have in the room safebox. Finally just enjoy Playas del Coco is a great place. Hope this helps, Hellen
  4. Pacifico Beach Club is where we had our wedding reception last year, really nice venue. Playas Del Coco could get vey busy during the weekends and the beach way too crowded. The beach itself is a stretch of gray brown sand set inside a horseshoe-shaped bay. If you want to party with friends before the wedding, there are only a few options for nightlife in Playas Del Coco. There are two bars in the center of town that offer loud dance music till 3am. Lizard Lounge and Zi Lounge are the two open air bars opposite each other on the main road through downtown, about 100 meters from the beach at the junction of the road to the Las Palmas residential community. Sometimes there will suddenly be disturbance on the street and the crowd gathers round to watch two guys have a fight. But surprisingly, very often it’s two women fighting hahaha! The police are pretty laid back. They usually have a presence there but they don’t seem to do too much, although occasionally they will arrest someone for drug dealing. I would suggest going to the bars around 9pm and to be safe you might want to be out of there by 1am.
