  1. Ok, so our wedding was in the Dominican, Punta Cana at the Huracan. Mayte was our wedding organiser and she told us that she would post our wedding certificates, along with our birth certificates which need returning to us, about 3 months after our wedding. We are now 1 year and almost 3 months since our wedding, and still have not received our certificates and no replies from Mayte either. I have contact the embassy in DR but they tell me its the registry office I need to speak to, but I have no idea which one! We paid extra in order to have a legal/civil ceremony, so only really want what we paid for, but it seems like trying to get blood from a stone. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or contact details of someone who may be able to help? Thanks
  2. I have just been informed that Matey no longer works at the Jellyfish restaurant. Ive already booked, planned, arranged and paid my deposit for the Jellyfish, but now Matey tells me she is now working at the Huracan cafe instead. Im a bit worried at what this means for my wedding, especially with regards to date, time, deposit paid already, Huracan prices and if we can still have all the same things as we had planned at the Jellyfish. Our wedding is/was booked at the Jellyfish for the 25th September, so not too much longer to go now. Has anyone else had this change of venue situation?
  3. Hello all, I have been looking at Now larimar punta cana and dreams la romana, Im swaying slightly towards Now. I have been looking at their wedding guide and Im a little confused with their prices, so if anyone could shed some light on the Now wedding prices I would greatly appreciate it. My confusion has come from page 11 of the wedding guide 'additional wedding services' I see all items listed through out the guide states $ however on page 11 it shows a few items, such as the fire dancers as US$. Does that mean that all the other prices are actually RD$/dominican pesos $? Or are all prices USD$? Also on another note, can anyone shed some light on the outside vendor photography fee? I have a very close friend who is also a photographer. I have invited him to the wedding as a guest and also asked him to do the photography. Since he is also going to be a wedding guest he will be staying with us at the hotel so would the outside vendor fee apply to him to do the photography? Any info on these anyone has will be greatly appreciated. ;-)
