We are staying at Ocean Blue & Sand. I have been on the pub crawls in Cancun which were awesome, are there any promoters that do events like this in PC? Hello Heather! I live in Punta Cana/Bavaro Area, I am a local girl. It is safe to go out the resort at night, the only thing there is not public transportation at night and even during the day is difficult to catch the public buses. They cost 40 dominican pesos which is around 1 dollar (it depends of the exchange rate that they use). There are a few discos and bars in the area, the concierge personal in you hotel can give you some advises or helping you with that. The most popular discos are: Oro at Hard Rock Cafe - Is nice and big, but far form everything and a expensive. You can find a representative for this disco in your hotel that sell you the tour Jewel in Palma Real Shopping Mall- Big, nice, easy to find. Imagine - Is a disco in cave. You can also can buy the excursion with transportation with and without open bar. Mangu - Is one of the older discos in Bavaro, but still nice, lot of local people there. Then ther are bars like the Pub in Cap Cana, Dannys Bar in Bavaro, Liquid, Huracan Cafe, Soles (by the beach) etc The locals go to liquor stores that have dancing and table areas, so can dance and the drinks are more affordable. Hope this help you.
  2. In my opinion is the age range goes from 18 - 45 years old. They have differen areas, that plays all kind of music, from electronic to latin (merengue, salsa, bachata). It is nice but not for a wedding reception and more if is on weekend, sometimes is too crowded.
  3. Hello GingaNinja! I am from Dominican Republc (local) I live in Bavaro-Punta Cana Area. Just for you to know, Imagine Disco opens at 11:00 p.m. and the open bar is just with national drinks. If you decide to buy the tour keep in mind that the return bus to the Hotel is at 3:00 a.m, so if someone wants to leave the disco earlier or later than this time will be a little bit restrictive. If you have questions about it, let me know. Regards,
  4. Hello Diana! Just have to translate the certificate, it is legal in US. You can see the apostille seal in the back page. You dont have to get married again.
  5. Hi Bibi! In which hotel are you going to celebrate your wedding? Who is Marlene? From BBPD or other resort? Normally all the arrangments are made through the WC, the judge and the minister dont have direct contact with the brides (since they have to make a lot of weddings in different resorts, so many brides to handle).
  6. Hello Ladies!! Only Magestic and Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort (Palace and Beach Adults Only have church chapel on site, but the priest can held the ceremony in a garden or gazebo far to the beach or pool. Hard Rock Hotel is beautiful, but is far from everywhere. No church close to the property.
