  1. I'm getting married on the Pergola next Friday! The decor I'm bringing with me is: chair bows, table runners, 24 paper lanterns, small candles and candle holders for the reception tables, starfish and shells that I found at Michael's, flower petals for pergola aisle, instead of a guest book we are doing a mat frame with a picture of us so guests can sign around it, cake topper, hand painted maracas for each guest (favor) and I made my own ceremony programs and menus to place on each guests plate for the reception. We aren't really doing much at the Pergola for decor since it is already so beautiful outside and our ceremony is only like 10 min long... but the candles/flowers idea sounds like it will be really pretty! My bridesmaids also are wearing coral dresses and they are wearing sandals that I found on 6pm.com ... The shoe is the Gabriella Rocha Dilia and I got it in a nude color which I thought looked really pretty with the coral. Plus is was SUPER cheap, $14.99. There is also a coral option that I ordered for myself to wear with my wedding dress. I just thought we would all be more comfortable in sandals instead of heels!
  2. Love these! I leave in 19 days and cannot wait!! Thanks for sharing.
  3. Vintagebabydoll is the store name. Yay! For the seating time I just asked the WC if she could pick guests up in the main lobby around 3:45pm and then walk them over to the Pergola to be seated for the 4pm ceremony. I have 3 pre-ceremony songs while people get seated. I'm using the WeddingDJ App on my iphone. It's pretty neat because it can fade songs out so there isn't a hard stop in the middle of a song if you don't want the whole thing played (like for the processional, some of those songs get long). I'm assuming there will be someone (like the wedding coordinator) there to change the songs for us, at least I hope so!!
  4. Please let me know how Fernanda does with the photos!! We have the all day package as well!! I got hand painted maracas that I ordered off of Etsy. They're super cute!
  5. Of course! I ordered them from BBCrafts.com They have a lot of different colors available. I got coral organza table runners which were $1.05 each (compared to $18-$25 at the resort for one table), and chair bows which were only $0.50!!! Compared to $5 per chair. They are very nice quality and will not take up a ton of room in my luggage (I ordered 3 table runners and 30 chair bows).
  6. I actually ordered my table runners and chair bows (coral organza) online because it is going to be way cheaper than renting them at the resort. They charge $5 per chair and I ended up buying 30 chair sashes for only $12. The resort does have a variety of colors/textures that was emailed to me. If you send me your email I can send the colors over. I'm using the resort photographer for the entire day package. I'm getting married there February 28, so I can write a review on what I thought of them when we get back and post some pics!
  7. My wedding is coming up sooooon! Feb. 28. I've been emailing with Ariadna Tort who is going to be filling in for Pilar because she will be going on maternity leave in early Feb. I decided to go with the resort photographer and remember reading past entires from brides saying to request Veronica because she is really good. Well just an FYI... I requested her but was told she doesn't work at the resort anymore! Booo hoooo.
  8. If anyone had their reception in the bamboo room and brought paper lanterns to hang what size did you get? 12 in, 14 in, etc....
  9. Does anyone have an opinion on DJ vs. no DJ and go with the ipod for the reception. I'm torn. I did see the Wedding DJ app and think its great but I just can't decide. Has anyone had the DJ and what did you think of him? I'm more leaning towards just renting the sound system since the cost of the DJ is soooo much.
  10. Does anyone happen to have a copy of the standard symbolic ceremony script by chance? I'm just trying to decide if I want to use that or create my own! If anyone has it can you email it to me at jenlrsn@gmail.com

  12. Bought my dress off the rack yesterday! Love it! Probably will get one of the two layers of tulle taken out to tame the poofiness! :-)
  13. I don't have bridesmaid dresses picked out yet but I'm thinking of letting them pick their own dress (something casual, affordable (since they're shelling out major cash to come) and something they can wear again). I like the idea of mismatched dresses. My colors are coral, peach & aqua so here's what I"m thinking for the look of the dresses. If you are doing casual look on modcloth.com they have some super cute beachy looking dresses. My fiance is going to wear a white linen shirt I think, something casual but still looks nice. I think Tommy Bahama has nice shirts for men.
