Hi! Thank you so much for your review; I am getting married December 7 (just a couple weeks away!) and am certainly getting hit with last minute nerves. It is helpful to read such a positive review, especially regarding the photography since we also have hired Joaquin. You looked absolutely beautiful, FYI I have a quick question for you: how did you transport your items down to the resort? Did you check them? And did you use boxes, suitcases, or bins? Hi all! Hope all is well with everyone and their wedding planning! My fiancé and I are putting together our OOT bags for guests and want to include information/pamphlets/brochures about what activities there to do at the resort and around Punta Cana. Does anyone have any feedback as to what activities are most enjoyable, can accommodate large groups, and what the price ranges are? I am trying to set up an itinerary for our weekend so ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi everyone! I am also getting married in December 2013, actually at PPC, but still read through both Paradisus threads for all the amazing ideas and insight. I can certainly empathize with all the overwhelmed feelings, especially if you are in the beginning of the process! I have been working with Theresa from Barefoot Brides and I cannot speak highly enough of her. We knew within minutes of speaking with her that we were going to hire her to be our wedding planner. She used to work with the Paradisus resorts and now works on her own so she can tell you all the ins and outs and certainly how to save money! She avoids all the stress of working with the Miami office, and has made our wedding planning SO much less stressful; for an anxious person like me she has really been a life saver. Thank you so much for the insight! I really like your idea of having a different dress for the TTD so there are two different 'looks' for the pictures. I hadn't even considered that! Thanks again!

Hi! So I have been trying to pick a photography package. We ended up going with Joaquin from Arrecife (who came highly recommended by our wedding planner), and also to avoid the $1000 outside provider fee. I have been going back and forth about whether or not to go the extra mile and pay for video, since I know photography and videography are not the areas to cut corners in. Also, I am really considering the TTD session. Many of the pictures I have seen are beautiful, but I am wondering how badly the dress is effected? Has anyone had a TTD the session or know someone who has that can comment on what happened to the dress? Does the dress material make a difference? Thank you!
