  1. Please don't use DJ Doremixx!!!!! I just got married Nov 8 2013 and if it wasn't because my friends are really easy going i swear the party would have been terrible!!! Got married in the Royal Playa Del Carmen and we met with one of the staff memebers the day before to create an itinerary. I don't know why we even bothered. The following day, he didn't adhere to anything in the time line. If my wedding coordinator hadn't gone up to him to tell him "hey can you announce the cake cutting" "play some dance music" or "uh, you are leaving in 5 minutes, please announce the bouquet toss" he would have just let his playlist keep going. I would have done much better bringing an ipod. He did announce my first dance and our dance with our mothers, but everything else was a disaster. Also, he was supposed to share my itinerary with the photographer and wedding coordinator but didn't so the day of they asked him for it and he said he couldnt give it to them!! my photographer missed the bouquet toss b/c he couldn't get the lighting set up in time! Please, do not use them. Get your money back. And if you don't believe me, message me and i'll give you more details. PS - I am the most easy going bride in the world.
  2. Someone, please help. I am excitedly getting married at the royal next November. My wedding coordinator is Katia and, I feel guilty saying it, but I think need a new lady. Now I am a REALLY easy going person and she basically has me in tears. I paid the deposit with minimal information because I was scared I would lose my date and, since then, getting any sort of info from her is damn near impossible. She takes a week to get back to any of my/my fiances emails (which I think is so unprofessional) and I don't know if it is a language barrier or what but she doesn't really answer our questions and then answers with something else that poses new questions. So, since I speak Spanish I called once to see if it was the language but it wasn't, just she doesn't give straight answers. Like for example, I asked about decorations and she answered out of nowhere that all my 80 guests would have to eat the same thing. When I told her that wasn't possible because I have vegetarians attending she responded with ok, you can have 2 options plus a vegetarian for no extra cost. If that were the case, why send me into an unnecessary panic?!? Then they updated their services. In the contract it says changes may occur to the original package without notice and prices may change. When I called asking if we were entitled to the new contract (same price, only thing really added was brunch) she said no but later changed her mind and said yes. Long story short, does anyone recommend someone over there who I can switch to or advice on how to continue? Thank you!
