Hello! Does anyone have any information on the beach cocktail reception?

Hey ladies! I am getting married at the GRP in October 2013 (YAI!). We have chosen to our ceremony at the Sunset Gazebo and our reception on the beach. We will be having the American Grill menu. Do any of you lovely ladies have any tips and tricks for this resort? Any comments (good or bad)? We are traveling w/ a group of ~50. We haven't decided on a cake yet. Do any of you have any pics of the cake that you choose, and would recommend? For our favours, we are getting those floating lanterns. Has anyone done this before? We will also be getting travel mugs as they are usually a big hit.
