Hi Kaela! I would like to echo the other girls and say thank you for posting your experiences and your photos! I loved the paper bags with candles on the perimeter of the Terrace which I saw in your pictures. Did you bring those? If so, did you use real candles in glass votives? My mom is thinking of using the battery-powered votives (out of concern that fire+paper can be dangerous) but I dont think they give off enough light. What did you use? Thanks again! Erin

I do. I was quoted $94 for hair and $94 for makeup per person. That is the cost for them to do it at the spa the day of the wedding. They charge (I believe) a 20% additional fee if you want them to come to your room to do it. I did not ask about trials. Hope that helps!

Thanks Kaela! Your posts are VERY helpful! I have a question about what happened with the live band? Was that another rule? Because I think they require 50 guests to allow you to use the terrace, so if they said no band with 55 guests, I kinda think that means no bands on the terrace? Is that the case? These guys... I have had like 10 back and forth emails on bands and my options but noone has mentioned that a full band would not be available on the Terrace! Thanks again, and I would love to see your pictures of the ceremony/reception!

I am using Lynda too. To say she is super slow is an understatement. I also do not find her responses particularly helpful or informative. For example, I informed her I wanted to have a cocktail party one of hte nights prior to the wedding 2 months ago. She still cannot confirm that is is possible. Its been 2 months. I dont understand. I told her I wanted a live band to play latin music at the wedding. She said there were 2 options, but can only send me video/audio for one. I dont understand why she thinks that would be ok. Sorry for the rant, but I am very frustrated with her.

Steph - I'm getting married at AB in April. Did they tell you only one wedding a day? I specifically asked and they told me they can do two weddings a day. However, there can be only one private reception a day. So it is possible you will have to share your wedding ceremony location, but if you book a private reception, you will be the only one that day. That's what they told me, but who knows!

Photography is important to our wedding for the obvious reason of it captures very special scenes which we may one day struggle to remember clearly. However, for Raul and I, it is also an opportunity to create art which incorporates one of the happiest days of our lives. We love photography and we are excited to have a really awesome and unique shot, featuring us, hanging on the wall in our home.

Hi Kary - I feel the same way about my travel agent. I got the hard sell on the Karisma resorts and feel like I didnt look close enough at the full package berfore I signed. Anyway, I am looking forward to getting marred at AB. Our wedding is set for April 20, 2013. Let the fun begin!
