MY DAY WAS MAGICAL!!! WE GOT MARRIED APRIL 13,TH 2013 AT THE GRAN BAHIA PRINCIPE PUNTA CANA AND HAD OUR HONEYMOON AT THE ESMERALDA!!! I WILL BE POSTING UP A FEW PICS..., EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT MY HAIR MY MAKE UP MY DRESS MY PICS!!! I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT IT ALL FOR NOTHING...ITS NOW OVER BUT HAVE SOME BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

im 2 days right behind you, dont worry about ur dress, i told them my date was in march to make sure id get it before...i ordered it last Jan 2012 and they just got it last friday...1 year later, as long as you have the major things booked, everything else will go smooth Congrats!!!!

Hey ladies, i just saw this thread, i had posted a similar one I am getting married April 13, so just approx 12 weeks left, very much excited, time flies, I remember setting the date over a year ago...Congrats to all brides...I now am with the smaller details, i have to decide on the wedding cake and few other details, for my hair i was very worried but found a Canadian hairdresser who is in Punta Cana 5mths out of the year for brides who are getting married there, I bought my dress in January 2012, should be receiving it this month ( 1 year!!!) Have fun with all the planning YAY!!!

Hello, I have booked a canadian hairdresser for my hair and make up, she has a website and all, she is in Punta Cana 5 months of the year to do hair and make up for brides, i am so picky with my hair and im glad i found her, i was able to view her portfolio and i have booked her for the day of my wedding, if u want i can give u her website and details let me know

Awesome, 3 days after us!! Aruba seems so beautiful, ive never been but I've heard amazing things, congrats to you both, are you pretty much done finalizing everything? we have booked over a year ago, now just the smaller details to be completed!! YAY!!!

I just thought I'd create a thread since we all have the same wedding month My date is April 13,2013 im tying the knot at the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana, im having a Canadian hairdresser come in the resort for the day, having a beach ceremony and a private reception afterwards, im going with the resort photographer, for my dress, my travel agent has contacted the airline to have the dress put in the wardrobe on the plane, I now have to decide for the smaller details, my WC has sent me pics for cakes and the bouquet but i believe i will go with pink and white roses, as my chair sashes are pink... post your wedding details, and congrats to all brides

HAppy new year!! im getting married at the GPB Punta Cana side, and then for the following week we are switiching hotels to the Esmeralda side for the honeymoon, im getting married April 13,2013, ceremony on the beach, i am so excited 3 months left, i have a Canadian hairdresser coming to the resort for the day to do our hair and make-up, shes from Toronto but stays in Punta Cana about 5 months a year to do brides in Punta Cana. Awww congrats! I was looking into the Majestic Colonial as well before booking at the Gran Bahia, I heard great reviews about the Majestic!!! Did you get your dress yet? I also wish i could fly my hairdresser in, im just so picky about my hair, since ive never dealt with anyone in Punta cana to do my hair im hoping all will go well Goodluck with your preps and your special day

Hello to all future brides and new brides! Im new to this site and glad i found it. im getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe Punta cana April 13th 2013, we fly out of Montreal on the 10th, with our family and friends,and fiancés family from England... when we arrive there we have 3 days to prep, wedding on saturday and then over to the Esmeralda side for our honeymoon the following week... Im super excited now even though its 8 months away...I emailed the hairdressers as my hair is one of my BIGGEST concerns, im very picky with my hair and worried i wont really like it...we are getting married on the beach so i have asked my coordinator if its possible to have a carpet so i can somehow manage to wear heals lol...We have chosen a private reception, with the DJ and now im debating if i should go with the photographer on site, which seems to have a contract with GBP. Looking forward to hearing and suggestions,tips & details about your special day...or upcoming one!

Hi Sheryl, i just saw your post, im in the same resort as you also getting married in April, my date is the 13th of April at the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana which is the same resort, right on the beach, i then transfer to the esmeralda side on the 17th for another week as the family leaves on the 17th, Happy planning!!!
