Cancun Palace is a great family resort with an awsome kids club and you get the resort dollar to spend . Another big plus is that you do not need reservations to eat in the a la carte restaurants like you do at the RIU's.

Playacar Palace is a great resort right next to lots of shopping, it was modeled after the 5 star Le Blanc resort so it is decorated with a sophicated style. . It is not going to be as kid friendly as the Dreams resorts that are geared towards families. Another family friendly resort with a similar location would be The Gran Porto Real ( A travel agent would have great group rates if you have 10 or more rooms ) .

There are many All inclusive in the DR that should be able to accommodate your group . The new RIU Palace Bavaro may be a good option.
