  1. We were able to remove our wristbands the day of the wedding. We had to hang on to them so we could go the next day to the front desk and turn them in for new ones. We just had to sign a paper when we got the new ones.

  3. The only time we needed the bug spray was on the sports bar terrace for the cocktail party. La Laguna was fine. It was a little windy so a wrap for later would be a good idea.

  5. Thanks Lynda for posting the pictures! There are a few more on our website with more to come. http://jasonandsue2013.weddingwindow.com/index.cfm?fa=photo Thanks everyone for the well wishes! The wedding was amazing. One tip if you are having a cocktail party at the sports bar terrace bring bug spray. Many guests were being bit. We had the Catholic Ceremony in the chapel and it was absolutely beautiful! However keep in mind if you are Canadian that the Catholic Ceremony in Mexico is not a legal marriage in Canada. You will have to have a civil ceremony as well to make it legal as the wedding certificate you get is not a license. We had the reception at La Laguna and the food was great! We opted for the Sea and Turf menu. The presentation of the food was amazing and the staff was fantastic. Before my drink was even empty a new one was there! Grace and Vanessa took care of everything and it was the most amazing day! The resort itself is great and huge. We stayed in the Colonial, but usually ended up at the White Sands Pool and buffet as they were quieter. That buffet also has a make your own pancake section! I took full advantage after the wedding! We did a few A la cartes, Japanese was my favorite! I did also enjoy Mexican and the Brazilian. Italian I could have done without. Having our wedding at the Grand Palladium was amazing!
  6. Hi Ladies, Just wanted to share a few photo's from our wedding which took place on Wednesday, March 13th 2013. We had a Catholic Ceremony and it was so beautiful. Grace and Vanessa were amazing! If anyone has any questions let me know!
  7. Hi Claire, I'm actually getting married in the Chapel in just over a month, March 13th, 2013!!! I have been dealing with Grace. All we've had to do is speak with our parish priest who filled out a bunch of forms and sent them to our local church diocese. I requested to the diocese to send the Nihil Obstat to me instead of to Cancun. I have emailed Grace a copy and she reviewed it to make sure it was correct. I will be bringing the original forms down with me. The Nihil Obstat is simply our diocese giving permission for the diocese of Cancun to marry us so that our marriage will be recognized as a Catholic marriage the by our diocese at home. As far as we know the only other thing we need is our passports and the blood test.
  8. Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are getting married 3-13-13 in the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves chapel. We've requested La Laguna for a private party/gala dinner. We're also looking to have a cocktail party. Any suggestions as to where on the resort to have it??
