Hey ladies! I have a question for you all. I recently booked my "complimentary wedding" at ocean blue and told yinette I would be paying for additional services because none of the wedding packages interested me. That being said, one of the additional services talked about was booking the La Brasa private reception. Nothing was ever mentioned about a minimum amount of people. I have 30 guests I total, there is now apparently a 40 person minimum to book at the labrasa. This was never mentioned to me previously, I was only told 32 pp USD. What if I had only a small amount of people attending my wedding and I bought a package like sand extravaganza that includes a private reception, would they say I couldn't have a private reception because I do not have 40 ppl? I am curious if any other brides have ran into this problem. Let me know if you have and how it was dealt with? Thanks ladies!

This is it!! I had a big proposal with all my closest friends and family. I planned a huge get together, little did i know I was planning my own engagement party and everyone was in on it!! It was romantic and so us! Best feeling ever is to be surrounded by everyone you love on moments like this!

Hey there!! I am getting married in Apr 2013, I have the same concern. I was at a wedding in Mexico last year and it was ridiculous how many ppl flocked to watch. I really do not want my wedding to be a source of entertainment. Great idea on booking the 5 pm time. I was really tempted to before deciding I wanted to be able to drag the day on opting for the 3pm time slot. When are you getting married? What package did you go with? I am just smoothing out all these details, I would love to hear what others are doing! Keep me posted

Hi guys, I am newly engaged, after 8 years finally this is happening:) I could not be more excited to marry the man of my life somewhere on a beautiful beach. Problem is, what beautiful beach? I am having such a hard time narrowing down to which resort I would like to wed at. I guess I should let ya'll know where we would like to go if I hope for advice Well, Punta Cana of course! PLEAAASEEE if anyone has any amazing gems they have wed at or found I would love the help. I am working will my travel agent to find something affordable for my guests to attend yet somewhere that will pay attention to all the small details and provide a private intimate ceremony and reception. Also, something that is family friendly as our 4 year old daughter thinks she is getting married too;) Am I crazy? Am I asking to much? Please help fellow Punta Cana Brides!!!! Jess
