Laurenlyn, When you booked in June were TA's advising against it? Both TA's I'm working with are telling me I should book right away instead of waiting due to space on plane etc. I'm not sure what to believe...

I have looked at quite a number of resorts in Punta Cana and Mayan Riviera and they are all coming back at 1630-1650 which I know they can be lower! My travel agent has asked all carriers as well. I would look into the Ocean Sand and Blue but we actually just came back from a wedding there in January. I wonder how your agent rec'd such a good price!?

Thanks so much everyone! I have contacted the resort to see about the dates for the wedding. It definitely is the most stressful part! Every resort we have got quotes back from seem to be around the exact same price and if I want a lower price then I have to go to a lower star resort which I really don't want to do! I will definitely wait a little bit I think!

Dominican Ally, have you booked yet? I am from Canada as well and just getting quotes..they are REALLY high and I am wondering if I should wait a few months.

Hi All, I am a new bride to be and we are currently planning our DW in either Mexico or Dominican. I was just wondering if anyone had advice on the right time to book? The wedding will be April 2013 so just under a year and the quotes we are getting back are very high. I know the prices can be lower for the resorts we are looking at. Does anyone recommend waiting until 9 months before etc? Any tips or advice would be really helpful!! Thanks!

Hi All, I am a new bride to be and starting to plan our destination wedding in either Dominican or Mexico. The wedding is going to be next April, so about 11 months out. We are currently getting quotes and they are coming back extremely high. Does anyone have feedback on the best time frame to book? Should we wait until 9 months out for a better price?? Agents are telling me no and friends are telling me yes. Any advise would be appreciated!!
