All, does anyone have any tips on tipping for services at the salon/spa/bars?? I was just trying to figure out how much cash to bring and was wondering if anyone had suggestions?

I agree with Chase!! Sarah we have to have a little faith!! Think positive vibes! I'm getting so excited and can't wait to leave! We don't leave until Sunday I really have to get in gear this week and get all my bags organized, and start packing. Can't wait to be at the poolbar, no matter what side it's on!!!

Thanks for the tips!! I didn't want to bring too many items but now that I have gotten some prices from Karime I'm glad I did! I told her I wanted dinner at Meduca but she mentioned we didn't have enough people? We have 18 but I think she said the minimum was 20. So now I'm back to being confused! Also if we do go with Meduca can we have music and dancing there? We can bring our own music right? Ugh stressed again!

I know I'm very pleased! Now my only worry is how to keep my luggage under 50 pounds considering I'm bringing almost all the wedding centerpieces, the OOT bags, gifts, and everything with me! Poolside drinks in 10 days!!

Ok so far no response so I may try and reach out to Cristina if I do not hear anything back by tomorrow. We got the Diamond collection so I have my choices of pretty much everything however, like I said no one has really asked me yet!! I was letting it go only because our wedding in the US was Saturday and I was so stressed trying to get through that day!! Now I can't sleep because we may just be on vacation with 20 people if I can't get a whole wedding planned in 1 week!! What day are you arriving Sarah? We leave May 20th and will be there until the 31st! I'm so ready for some fun and sun!! I've been tanning religiously for weeks trying to get ready!! Technically my husband (weird!!!) has already seen me in my gorgeous gown but I can't wait to wear it again and this time for more than an hour!! It doesn't seem like anyone has really had any issues getting it on the plane but I would never dream of sending out once we are in Mexico! Can't wait can't wait!!!!

We had our US wedding this past weekend and everything was wonderful (except my nerves which still haven't calmed down!!!!) I was up all night last night thinking how I STILL have not even spoken with Karime or made any official plans with her. I plan on sending a very lng email this morning and hopefully finally accomplishing something. But it's good to know that eventually everything will come through in the end.

Yeah thats what we were afraid of!! I know at least my mother in law (go figure!) didn't book through our travel agent but a few people did book after our group contract had already run out so I don't know how that all works. My fiance is all up in arms over them counting the nights but what can we do right?!

Finally heard from my WC last night! Karime sent me an email last night. Just need to confirm the details and provide the guest list. Do any of you guys know how the room nights booked work? We had some people book through a travel agent and others booked online. I'm afraid they won't count our online nights booked which will make me really mad! I mean I'm still bringing business to their resort!

Yeah the Welcom bags are overwhelming plus the fact that I'm getting married here on May 5th and that is a whole mini wedding in itself thanks to my in laws!! Its actually costing us about 4 times what the Mexico wedding is costing to have a church ceremony here! I'm defeated with wedding planning! My only saving grace is the welcome bags and putting fun and silly items in the bags, it's distracting me from all the messy business over here!! I'm not picky with centerpieces or flowers so I'm hoping everything will fall into place quickly!

Has anyone shipped items to the resort? I heard that you may be able to have items sent to the resort prior to your arrival, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to get your items down there?

Does anyone have pictures or any ideas of what you all are doing for centerpieces? I'm trying to get my act together (finally!!!) and figure out what exactly I want to do. I've seen some posts here and there about vases and paper flowers (I envy you for doing this BTW!!!! Wish I had the time!!!) But there are soooo many posts and I'm still a newbie around here so can anyone give me a quick recap of some great ideas? I just bought the gummy flips flops online because I just loved that idea! Also OOT Bags! What are you all including? For my bridesmaids I really stocked up on Cyber Monday and got great deals on Monogrammed Lands End Canvas bags, Flip Flops, and Vera Bradley towels for each of them. This is just about the only thing I feel as though I have done right so far! But for guest OOT bags I'm at a loss! We already bought the water bottle wrappers and I guess I'll stop at walmart once we get down there and buy water for the bags. My fiance was so impressed at my new found knowledge of this whole thing! I bragged all night about how much I learned from you guys! He was shocked there was a Walmart in the area. Really appreciate any feedback or ideas you guys could throw my way. Oh and Do I even have to mention I'm a bride on a budget? A minimal budget at that!
