  1. Eeek, sorry! Didn't realize you had responded. I'm now engaged and we are hoping for a May/June date - but we aren't picky about it needing to e on a weekend. I've emailed Dreams but haven't received a response yet....how long does it take for them to let you know what dates are available?
  2. I don't have a date yet. I'm still waiting on my darn ring! My SO says he will be proposing within the next couple of months and we both want to get married in Cabo and also would like a short engagement. Since I'm not positive what month I'll be looking at I didn't think I could get a quote from Dreams yet. Just hoping that someone on here who has booked their wedding recently would let me know their experience - if it was a hassle to get the date they wanted or not.
  3. Thanks for your advice PCBride - I plan on having my wedding in Cabo and the Dreams there looks great so I think I will be ok. I just don't know if I even have a chance at booking a date within sixth months. If not, I need to start making more backup plans :/
  4. Hi all! Hoping someone here can clue me in. I know Dreams is super popular for weddings and was wondering how booked up they can get? Basically, if I had a six month engagement would I be out of luck trying to reserve a date? My fear is that it will be like in the US where the best places need a year reservation or you are out of luck. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
  5. If you can find an example please let me know! I looked through the online catalog but didn't see anything star shaped so I'm pretty clueless as to what these things look like.
  6. I saw in the booklet that there is something called an "air star" for $465 each - what on earth is this? Can anyone describe it to me? Or have pictures? Also does anyone have a picture of what the hanging stars look like?
  7. If you don't mind my asking - how did you get the white table lanterns down to the location? Did you ship them directly to the resort? They look gorgeous but I can't see how you managed to get them to Cabo.
  8. Thank you! I'm from California and I think the license says you have to be married in California - but I'll double check that to be sure. I know there have been threads about this subject before and it seemed like personal preference if someone did the legal portion before or after Mexico. I'm just wondering if there is some benefit to doing it before (because I'd prefer to handle it after!). The only benefit of doing it first that I can see is that when we are traveling on the honeymoon, I'd legally be his wife if we came into any trouble.
  9. Are you getting legally married before or after your symbolic ceremony? I'd prefer to come home after the honeymoon and then go to the courthouse so that the symbolic ceremony is the first time we ever say our vows to eachother. But does anyone know if there is an advantage to getting legally married before going to Mexico? Is anyone else going to the courthouse after their symbolic ceremony?
  10. That actually makes me feel really great. I had thought that when you get your license back in the US that you still had to repeat some vows. I want the symbolic ceremony to be the only one that feels "real."
  11. I was wondering what veil might be best because of wind issues - the mantilla look might be too much right? For hair I was thinking of a half up half down look so I could keep at least some of my hair out of my face.
  12. Yes, please post and tell us how the pics went I'm considering bradley as well and want to see as many samples as possible.
  13. Thank you for the review - super helpful! The more information I can find on photographers the better.
  14. I was thinking the same as you - much cheaper to bring your own than pay for the hotels. Hoping someone with experience will respond so we know if it is possible. I'd hope the WC would handle the steaming or ironing needed...
