  1. You don't have to pay the fee if you are bringing a friend who is staying at the resort as part of your group.
  2. Hits: The double insulated tumblers. (Everyone used these for drinks around pool and beach) Lip balm (saw people using this a lot around the pool area) Snacks Travel Guide/Tips (People commented that they really knew what to expect) Bug Spray Pens/Small notebook Miss: Disposable Cameras (people used these, but most people have their own digital or camera phones) Playing cards (I never saw people use these)
  3. We were married at the Now Jade in Riveria Maya Mexico on October 20th. It was so beautiful. I was worried about having a morning wedding and not paying for all of the extras and just going with the complimentary package. I shouldn't have wasted so much time worrying! The resort staff went out of their way to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. There were little things that happened: my dress needed a quick tack right before the wedding, my hair kept getting in my face, my 18 yo son tore his dress pants after the ceremony during pictures, but those things made it real. I loved the way the photographer incorporated all of our family and friends into the pictures. We wanted this day to be for everyone who joined us in Mexico. We had the best cake ever! (chocolate kahlua) EVERYONE raved about how good the cake was. Maybe I should have upgraded to a larger cake. Here is a link to our slideshow: Not perfect, but definitely us! http://201012arends.nowjade.adventurephotos.com.mx/ We were really happy with the resort photographer. We received a disc with over 350 pictures and they made a wedding book with 24 photos. I just bought the basic package for 2 hours of photography for around $650.00. He was so accomodating and spent way more time with us than I expected since I bought the least expensive package. After the ceremony, we did pictures and then we met at the Castaways Restaurant. There they had awesome appetizers and signature cocktails for both adults and kids ready to be served. They even had the area decorated for us. All of our guests ordered off the menu and they even made some special items for the kiddos. The food was really good! I went back to the restaurant the next day for lunch just to try some of the yummy food again. I was too nervous/excited to eat during our reception. We met with the resort wedding coordinator two days before the wedding and went over the colors I wanted for the flowers and talked about the sand ceremony, wedding set up, my music, and where I wanted to have our lunch reception. I am so happy I trusted the resort professionals to handle everything. They are awesome and totally know what they are doing. I am going to try to post a full review on the review page soon about our experience.
  4. I just got back from the Now Jade and used the Your Moments Wedding Package(was married October 20th). It was wonderful. We had 25 guests so I did pay extra for a set up and for a sound system. We had a really nice lunch reception in the Castaways Lounge. The wedding staff went above and beyond my expectations, especially since I was using the "complimentary" package. I cannot say enough good things about the Now Jade and I'm glad I used the complimentary package and just paid for the upgrades that we absolutely needed. Pilar threw in so much extra stuff to make our day beautiful and special including pretty table decor in Castaways, appetizers, a signature cocktail, our own wait staff, beautiful flowers that matched my theme perfectly! I coudn't imagine paying all the extra money could have made the day any better than it was. Good Luck and feel confident that you are in good hands with the Now Jade Wedding Team!
  5. Bag from Old Navy for $1.00. They had 4 or 5 "beachy" scenes to choose from.
  6. Hi I have the price list. The wedding coordinator, Pilar, sent it to me about a week ago. If you can't open it let me know and I can send it to you direct. SPA NOJRC.pdf
  7. I bought cups similar to these w/out the logo on Amazon. I believe they were around $4.00 each and I got assorted "tropical colors" blue, pinks and lavendars. We haven't used them yet, but the reviews were really good on Amazon!
  8. My 2nd fitting. The seamstress is at the bottom of the pic adjusting the hem. She is taking in the chest area, adding a bustle and taking up the hem since I am going barefoot on the beach.
  9. I got the bags at Old Navy for $1.00 each. I bought them about 2 months go. I checked online and they didn't show up, but when I went to the store they had the bags up front by the cash registers. They had about 4 or 5 different colors with beachy designs. I liked these because of "Love" written on them.
  10. I ordered the cups from Amazon. A friend of mine told me she loved her insulated cup because it kept drinks cold for hours. I bought an assortment of colors (pinks, purples, and blues). Since I have an Amazon.com credit card, I had some rewards I could apply to the purchase. I paid $3.99 for them and they had really good user ratings. I have seen some similar in the dollar aisles at the Supermarket, but I don't think they are as sturdy and as insulated.
  11. I am getting married at the Now Jade on October 20th. Here are pictures of items in my OOT Bags. Pictured: Double Insulated Cup, Tip Money/Room Key waterproof holder with carabineer and lanyard, note pad, personalized sticky notes, personalized pens, gum, hand lotion, chapstick, playing cards, bug spray, disposable camera. Not pictured: hand sanitizer, Tootsie Pops, Mini First Aid Kits. And for the couples with children, I added some activity books, markers and colored pencils. I apologize for not remembering who to give the credit to on the "Thank You", but I saw the idea on this site and made some changes to the wording. I had so much fun working on these bags. I am not a creative or crafty person, so this site helped a ton with lots of fun ideas. I am having a Meet and Greet at home on October 6th so I can hand out the bags pre-departure.
