  1. Hi Missy! I am planning a wedding on the Carnival Destiny. Our sail date is Nov 22, 2012 (Thanksgiving) and the wedding ceremony will be 11/23/2012 on Key West and the reception will be a 2 hour reception back on board the ship. I used a wedding planner to plan the ceremony because carnival was not able to plan the wedding ceremony portion due to the number of guests attending. However, I am planning the reception through carnival. I guess my question to you is how thorough was your preparation process once you were on board the ship. I have found it very difficult to work with Carnivals wedding dept because I am always talking to a different perso. I havent been able to find out salon hours, when I will meet with the social host to give them the CD and wedding party information, or just other small detail planning that I would like to take care of. Once you boarded, were you able to work with someone to iron out all of the details? I am just getting a bit nervous. Thanks for any help that you can provide....and CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so glad that your wedding was amazing! Cher
  2. Hi Mel! I am also getting married in Key West on a Carnival cruise! I booked my reception aboard the ship, but due to the number of guests that I am having, I could not use carnival to book my ceremony. I am working with Amanda from AsUWishWeddings. She is amazing! Everytime I speak with her, I feel so much less stressed! She is so so so so much easier to work with than the people from Carnival's wedding department!!! I wish I could book the reception with her as well, but due to the short time on Key West it just isn't an option. Good luck with everything!!! Let me know how your planning goes! I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do about a photographer! Cher
  3. Has anyone had any experience with taking a photographer with them on a wedding cruise? From what I have read, itseems to be the best option. I am getting married off of the ship, but having the reception back onboard. The cruise photographers can not leave the ship, and I am afraid that having a phtographer come onboard as a non-sailing guest would be difficult because of time restraints. Does anyone know of a great photographer who would travel onboard a cruise? Any help would be awesome! Thanks so much!
  4. Hello everyone I am a newbie My destination wedding ceremony is planned for The Key West Garden Club on November 23, 2012. We will be cruising there on the Carnival Destiny with about 70 guests. Following the Key West ceremony, we will be returning to the ship for a reception. I would love to hear any suggestions or helpful tips!!! I hate planning Lol!!! Cher
  5. Hello I am getting married on Key West on November 23, 2012. I am already working with a wonderful wedding planner (Amanda from asyouwishweddings) who is helping me to make the ceremony wonderful! I am then going to be returning to the ship for a reception. I have about 70 people who will be cruising/attending. I have a wedding party of 7 on each side. I am looking for any creative ideas/suggesitons for guest wedding favors. I am also looking for ideas for silk flower arrangements (we have decided not to use real flowers for several reasons). The wedding will take place in the key west garden club (so it will be in more of a garden setting rather than the beach). Any creative suggestions, or if anyone else has had a similar wedding experience and can share some helpful tips, I would be so grateful Thanks so much! Cher
