I have been going back and forth as well. I started planning for one but now I think I'm going to scrap it. Why have two weddings? If that's the case, we should just get married here and have a honeymoon! The cost is crazy and I agree that some people might feel ripped off if they pay to go away to just come back to do it all over again.

Hi. I am wondering something. We are from Canada and we are going to have our wedding in Mexico. I think we should have a reception at home for people who can't come. He thinks too bad for them if they can't. So........who's right? Hahaha. Seriously, I get what he's is saying. More cost and it's like we are having two weddings but is it rude not to have a reception at home? Thanks!

I'm also driving myself nuts with the resort. I want the ceremony on the beach. My biggest problem is location! Needs to be close to shopping and stuff. Thinking Cancun or Playa. Like the Riu's but the beaches are not great at Cancun or las americas!

I am considering it. It's between there or it's sister resort, Las Americas. I'm worried about the reviews saying the pools are all in shade? I love the Riu's. I've stayed at the Caribe before.
