I received my dress from Jasmines today! It's beautifully made, but quite large. I was measured professionally, had her double check the measurements before sending them, and just did them again myself (I'm still the same measurements). Even with the whole corset done up so tightly that the sides touch, the dress is sliding off me. The bust is also strangely shaped - kind of pointy and narrow. It was also supposed to be a fit and flare style, but they seem to have made it A line shaped. It's supposed to fit fairly tight over my butt and hips, then gradually flare out, but it flares from my waist the butt/hips are very baggy. I sent them hip measurements, so there's no excuse why they should be so far off. With only two weeks to my wedding, I'm stressed about getting the alterations done in time and properly. I was hoping to avoid any alterations AND the expense of them. I have photos, just don't know how to upload them...

I have ordered this exactly dress from Jasmines. I originally went with Shades of Pale, gave them a fake wedding date, and never received the dress. Jasmines is being wonderful. I'm supposed to get the gown in a few weeks more. One thing I suggest is finding somewhere to try the original on. I was surprised by the fit and shape of this gown. The model must be 6' tall, because the bodice actually falls much lower than it appears and can make you look really short. I have a short upper body and long legs, so I'm glad that I was able to try it on in store and see how it fits my body type. I might not have noticed otherwise that the bodice was too long in the photos Jasmine's sent me. The dress is costing just over $400, including shipping.

For those considering ordering from Shades of Pale, let me warn you as to how they can take your money. I thought as long as I paid through PayPal, I was safe; however, a dispute (for PayPal to get you your money back) has to be filed within 45 days of payment. Of course, not many companies will have your dress done within 45 days. PayPal was willing to work with me IF I could prove that the dress was supposed to be here by a certain date. Emails are apparently too easily manipulated and wouldn't suffice. A website would have been fine, but SoP of course doesn't have one, just Facebook. And they didn't write an ETA on their PayPal invoice to me. I've filed a dispute through my credit card company, who is now working WITH PayPal to a) get a refund and check their clientelle history on PayPal to see if they should even be selling through it anymore. They are going after both SoP AND their bank to get a refund and I trust that the credit card company will be pretty ruthless, as THEY have refunded me and are getting money back for themselves. I've contact SoP several times, it's weeks past the date the dress was supposed to be here, and they won't respond. I'm not interested in dresses from them anymore, as it will be too late to wear them by the time they get here - I just want a refund. If anyone else has had a bad experience, I encourage you to contact PayPal and report them, leave a written online review, and anything else you can. They've scammed me and, it seems, several other people out of hundreds of dollars, not to mention royally screwed up my wedding attire plans and left me scrambling.

I ordered my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses from Shades of Pale. I did so much research before ordering and didn't see many negative reviews at all. I chose them over Jasmine's because they quoted me slightly cheaper for the bridesmaids dresses and I wanted to save my girls money. Now I'm regretting it...

I'm ready to order from Shades of Pale, but am having trouble matching up the original dress colour (which I LOVE) with the samples they provided. The original looks like it almost has a peachy undertone, especially when I tried it on in person and held it up to an ivory dress, but all the sample colours look brown in comparison. I'm hoping to get away with Premium everything, instead up upgrading to 'designer,' but the rep emailing me says that rouching is one of the most difficult jobs on a wedding dress (my dress has lots of it!). Hi, everyone. Nobody posted a reply to my question on ZiZi Bridals, so I am assuming they are either a very new company or a scam... I don't want to risk it. The dress I've chosen has a lot of rouching - can anyone recommend another company that has proven themselves to do rouching very well? I'll also be making some custom changes to the original. Has anyone ordered from or know of Zizi Bridals? They gave me a quote $100 less than Jasmine's Bridal and the works looks just as nice.
