Off white is darker than diamond white. It is better to wear a veil lighter in shade than darker if it doesn't match the color of your wedding dress exactly. I have personally seen white veil with darker shade dresses and it looks gorgeous. I personally would not match the veil to my dress unless it the color is really exceptional. White veil with any color wedding dress as long as it is close to white or has a combination color with white/off-white. There is a reason you feel uncomfortable, go with your gut. Go white!
