  1. The all inclusives are the way to go!
  2. For us, it was about the symbolic ceremony in Mexico. We actually got "married" the week before at the courthouse, so we took our documents down. We didn't tell anybody, because we wanted our wedding ceremony to be our "official" day that we got married. Otherwise there is a few hoops you have to jump through with getting married down in Mexico. The best thing was that we got a good friend to be the officiant of our ceremony.
  3. Sun, sand, beaches, and beautiful people. Have fun on your recon trip. Hopefully you can find a resort that fits your needs.
  4. Happy planning. Are you getting married on Valentines day?
  5. Oh, the Melia in Cabo looks beautiful! Good luck with your planning!
  6. I agree with Amber. We did something similar for our wedding. We worded the invites so that they said, we are requesting the presence of Mr. and Ms. XXXX. It worked out really well.
  7. I think it is ok to do this. Really after your wedding day, you want to spend some quality time "alone" with your new husband right? I think your guests would understand for sure.
  8. These are great tips. Also, looking for a resort that gives wedding specials or group rates. The Travel Agent would know these kinds of things.
  9. Some photographers offer TTD sessions in their packages. I would find out. We did one too, and I loved every moment of it. It was the day after our wedding, and I loved the connection I made with my hubby that day. I have to say, it was kind of HOT. You get to be sexy, and alluring, covered in water and sand. It was just the two of us, and our photographers and it was so amazing. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
  10. For our wedding, we invited about 70 people. Of the 70 people, 20 were for sures. (close family and friends). Our wedding total was 35 people which was intimate enough, not too big, and not too small. It was perfect, because we got to dance the night away, hang our with our closest family and friends, and there wasn't anybody who felt left out. Our only caviat was no children, because we wanted the parents to have a good time without worrying too much about the children. We had a couple of friends who had kids, but found sitters for the week. They were thrilled at the opportunity to get away for a week without having to worry about the kids.
  11. I love the idea of a BD book for a wedding gift. Did you also do a TTD session? Your broach bouquet is absolutely stunning, and your dress is gorgeous. Your wedding day looks like it was so memorable. Thank you for sharing all of the little details of your wedding. I love the colors and the invites and everything.
  12. Wow, your dress is absolutely stunning, and the signature cocktails are an awesome idea! Looks like you had a wonderful time!
