Sorry about your wedding issues. I am worried now about our wedding as we have Gara as our wedding coordinator also. I will be printing out all e-mails sent back and forth confirming everything we have agreed upon. It makes me nervous that they have a few weddings a day, what happens if it rains the day of the wedding? We will be having our reception on the Himitsu Terrace, but isn't there only one ballroom to have a wedding in? Where do the other weddings go if it rains? Also, can anyone let me know if they have used or is going to use Michael Weiler from Caribbean Emotions as their photographer? Is using him better than going with the resort photographer? I booked him already, just need to send the 20% to him, but wanted to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Did or is anyone having the buffet option? I'm a little mad right now because I knew that you couldn't have the sit down dinner if you have more than 50 guests coming, but had no idea how much the buffet cost. I just assumed it would be right around the same price with the other dinner packages. I asked Gara, my wedding coordinator, today and she said there are two packages one for $63 and other for $69 per person. I just think it is a little ridiculous that a buffet would be more expensive. Aren't they usually less expensive? I just wasn't planning on it being that much. We just sent out our save-the-dates and could possible have anywhere from 65-110 people planning on coming. I was planning for about $45 a person! Just stressed now!

Thanks Mel! Do you know who does the symbolic ceremony at Dreams? I would rather not tell anyone we are doing that and hoping no one will know the difference. Do you think we have can the symbolic ceremony so that it seems like the real deal? We thought it would be easier also, so we don't have to worry about all the paperwork. I've heard some people say they wish they just got married in states before they left to avoid the problems they came across.

Hi! I am booked for a July 2012 wedding at Dreams! Can anyone let me know if it would be better to get married here in the states before and have a symbolic ceremony at Dreams. Has anyone done the symbolic ceremony and if so what is it like? We will be having our ceremony at the gazebo, but are worried if too many people decide to come, we won't be able to have it there. Is there a limit on the number of people to have at the gazebo? We also booked the himitsu terrace for the reception since thats the only place besides the beach that can hold up to 100 people. Want to be able to wear heels too, which is why I'm trying to stay away from having the ceremony and reception on beach. Any info would be great! Thanks!!!
