  1. I got my sashes from Ebay, the sellers name was coverstars. They were cheap, had the exact color I wanted and shipping was fast. They were perfect and all were new.
  2. Loved them all!! Ivan did a great job. Looks like you all had a wonderful time!
  3. MWells - Bugambilia is where we got married and to be honest both of the terraces look pretty much the same.
  4. I'm pretty sure that Coco used them. You can look at her planning thread which is on here.
  5. We kept it all in the safe minus what we carried in our key holders for tips. I kept pretty much anything of value in there, camera, wedding day jewelry, etc.
  6. Hey ladies and LurkerDan! Sorry I haven't been on in a while but I thought I would check in to see how everyone's planning was going. Seems like we have a lot of new brides on here!! Congrats to you all!! Shan- I would take at least a couple hundred dollars in small bills. Especially if you are going to tip your wait staff and bartenders or plan on doing any kind of excursions. To be honest a couple of bucks to your bartenders or pool wait staff will get you really great service. But like I said before if you shop in town at the Fiesta Market or other stores they will give you change in pesos. So the more smaller bills you have the less pesos you'll be trying to get rid of at the end of your trip. We got my husband's ring at www.TungstunWorld.com. AMAZING prices and they have a great return and exchange policy. Lots of different styles to choose from. My husband works with his hands so we wanted something that could withstand a lot of wear and tear so we chose tungston instead of gold. He wears his gold Aggie ring every day and it's really taken a toll over the years so we knew gold wasn't an option. Moon Palace photographer is Smile Market (for those that have been asking). When I wrote my review I added a few of their pictures along with my thoughts. One thing I will say is if you have specific pictures you want taken make sure you let them know. I failed to do this and I don't have a picture of my husband's face while I was walking down the aisle. I'm very disappointed that I don't have one capturing that. As far as all the price questions.......we were quoted last summer $176 per person per night for double occupancy. For single occupancy it was over $300. Your best bet is to get a block either through a travel agent or from the resort. My TA told us that usually what the TA quotes is the same as the resort. We found our TA from this website.....Tammy Wright recommended her to us and then we also called a few TA's in our area and we felt more comfortable using VacationsForLess since they knew about the resort/credits and have booked a lot of weddings there. Good luck to all of you with all the new changes!! I hope that it does make things go smoother not having to deal with the Miami office. I have total faith in the on-site coordinators though so I know all of your wedding days will turn out beautifully. Please feel free to PM me for questions about the vendors we used or if you need prices. I still have all of that stuff saved for now.
  7. Hey Shan - we had 45 come to our wedding and we did private events. I would suggest you go that route if you have unlimited events. You get your own wait staff and bartenders and you don't have to wait in long lines for dinner. Our service both nights was outstanding. We had our welcome dinner at the Tucan Terrace and it was perfect. Right on the ocean, a little windy because of that, but no bugs and kept it from being hot. Most of the restaurants have slow service so if you take large groups be prepared to wait and for your dining experience to be slow. We didn't have any hidden fees or charges. Your wedding coordinator should lay it all out before you get there if you have contact with them and if not ask how much stuff will costs and take all of your emails with you. Zaray told us that if she didn't give us a price then we would not be charged and that's exactly how it was. When using credit resorts if there's a tax you will be required to pay that and transportation if it's not included. We had to pay transportation to go deep sea fishing and it was separate from the payment for the boat. Be sure to take small bills when you go anywhere because they don't have change in most places and if they do they give it to you in pesos. We ended up tipping both our driver to the airport and the airport guy who took our baggage to the check in line in all pesos just to get rid of them before we came back home.
  8. Congrats to all the newly married couples!! Sorry to hear about all the bad weather while you were there! I just posted my review with a few pictures. If you have any questions please feel free to ask! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/moon-palace-golf-spa-resort-all-inclusive/reviews/6284
  9. Thanks everyone!! Good luck and best wishes to everyone leaving this week! Can't wait to see pics of all the beautiful brides!! Shan our cocktail hour started at 5:30-7:00 and reception was 7-9:30ish. We were ready to head indoors after that because it was still pretty hot outside. We weren't charged extra for the little bit of extra time that we were there. For those leaving this week the disco isn't open yet but they have a DJ over at the Sunrise lobby that was pretty good. That's where we continued the party. Nizuc was pretty laid back and calm in the lobby but the amphitheater shows were more loud. We missed the Michael Jackson show on Monday night, it's at Sunrise amphitheater. We were having dinner at La Trattoria......fabulous food but it literally is a 2.5-3 hour experience. So plan accordingly!! Best food I ate the entire week we were there. Cheese soup fantastic and Veal Lasagna out of this world!!! It's 4 courses so make sure you a super hungry!!! Oh and the beef medallions with blue cheese were marvelous!!
  10. IIIIIIIII'MMMMMMM BAAAACCCCKKK!! Like all other brides have said the wedding was AMAZING and everything was PERFECT! Zaray was an delight to work with and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect event. I'll post my review later once I get pics from the photographer and friends. As I looked back through my own camera I didn't take too many pictures, I guess I was just enjoying the time we had there too much! But here's on that was taken by my cousin on her phone sometime after the wedding. If you have any questions in the mean time please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to give tips or whatever. I will say this though.......set up price is DEFINITELY negotiable!!! I didn't pay one dime for set up!!! And Zaray said it was because I was so easy to work with and had very little to set up. So if you want to save money be nice to your coordinators and don't take a lot of stuff to set up. I tipped her very well in the end to show my appreciation it was well worth it! My advice is try not to sweat It looks like there has been a lot of activity on here concerning the Miami office. I wouldn't pay one cent to them before you leave. They bill everything to your room at the resort. Joannis seems to be the only one doing this & her name is the only one popping up with the fraud cc charges......sounds fishy to me. Anytime I had questions and the Miami coordinator wouldn't respond I asked Janina there. I believe she's a manager so feel free to email her. She's awesome! I hope that everyone has a great week of planning. Congrats to Summer12I I think I saw you at the spa/salon after your hair appt. We were heading in for our massages and then missed your wedding since we didn't make it back over there before 6:30. Your pics on FB look great! Beautiful bride!!
  11. Hey ladies!!! We are all moved in the new house. We are leaving TODAY!!!! Hope you guys have a great weekend & next week! I'll update everyone when we get back. Can't believe it's finally here!!!!!!!
  12. Thanks CurlyBride! Let me tell you though this has been the craziest first week of marriage! Especially since we are keeping things on the DL he's been at home working & staying there while I have been at my house and packing and finishing up Mexico wedding stuff. Kinda stinks to be married yet not even in the same town. But on the upside we only have a week and a half to go before we are in Mexico! My advice is just keep sending emails with all your questions, cc both of them and hopefully one of them will respond soon. Glad to hear that Marvin finally got back with you and you have worked it out. I liked the fact that Cherry Blossom was cheap but I didn't have a good feeling about them being able to deliver there. We are having Marvin bring our flowers between 1-2 for our 5pm wedding. Gives them a little leeway on time but should be there before the WC comes to get you which is like 30 mins before the wedding. Your countdown is definitely speeding up! Make sure you specify with your WC that your contract states dinner reservation for 35. Mine tried to pull the 30 people and I had to send her the contract stating 35. And of course we love the BDW groom on here!
