  1. So excited. We leave tomorrow. Cleaning and nails today!
  2. Congrats you early may brides! Kristi so glad your dress is good! I'm finally tying loose ends together. Now mainly just the the hair and nails thing left. Hopefully I can hold it all together now that my mom has totally turned against me. Selfish me, she would never do this to her family, blah, blah. Hope we will work past this eventually.
  3. I know that inevitably on the day everything will work out fine, but this is just too much stress! I swear when it comes to me anything that can go wrong will. My rings have been screwed up and I have to find a new set at the same store equal or greater value of course, but when we bought them they were on sale. So I have that unexpected expense and I pray it will be sized corectly and back in time. My dress was terrible, but I go back on may 6 for another fitting. Hopefully it will be right this time and i won't have to pay extra. Not to mention now my mom tells me that she isn't coming because she doesn't think I want her there. (Totally irrational considering all I have offered her and included her in; and what a great relationship we have. I just can't pay her and her husbands whole way.) I should be really happy, but seriously I'm overdue for a meltdown! So my prayers are with you other ladies going through some my stresses. Surely it will all be worth it! I know I'm ready for the vacation part. That's the reason we did it this way anyway!
  4. I did have the cups sewn into my Maggie sottero Alexa dress. I'm happy with the cups, but so upset about alterations my dress is dirty and has a couple minor stains, one looks like lipstick, which I never wear. A tiny hole in the chiffon train and they missed a pleat in the top. Now for some reason it dents wierd at my hips, even though they did not alter that part. I'm discussed with the shop I went to. Very rude people every time i ask a question. I knew I should have ordered the smaller size, but they were very insistent that I needed to order a 4. I'm convinced now it was for the alteration money. I took my dress home afraid something might happen to it. I'm supposed to take it back to be steamed, so I plan on going back when I know the manager will be there. I'm so disappointed. If I'm spending $1300, in your store you should treat me and my purchase with some respect. The dress should have been perfect. It's a brand new dress!
  5. Anyone here have ceremony script advice for me? I'm struggling with the script of the ceremony sounding links we are just starting our new lives together. We have been together 15 years and have two children already. I also want to include our 3 and 4 year olds in the Sand ceremony without making it sound like they aren't ours together. I'm starting to stress out. I didn't realize I would need to do all of this myself!
  6. I'm in the same boat with all of you. Lol! I have a funny mental picture of us all in a little boat frantically paddling. Pretty sure most of us that still have a ton to do in a couple months are all feeling this way. I'm just ready for the vacation part. Ready for my fun in the sun!
  7. I love everyone's scripts and vows. I am having a hard time customizing our ceremony to fit our situation. We have been together 15 years and have two children, our oldest almost 5. Most of the ceremonies sound like we haven't already made a life together. Which we have... I also want to incorporate our children into the sand ceremony, but don't want it to sound as if they aren't our children together. I'm also struggling with how to mention god in the ceremony without the entire thing sounding really religious. I was hoping you ladies may be able to help. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  9. Sorry Nikki, I'm behind, but the wedding isn't until may 19. So far Sharon has been really nice. Ill post a follow up.
  10. It turned out beautifully! I have my first fitting tomorrow! I'm so ready!
  11. Everyone's dresses are so beautiful! I go tomorrow for my first fitting! I'm not so excited for this one. I know the dress does not fit. I'll be more excited for the next fitting after they chop it up. I can't wait to see what it will actually look like on me finished!
  12. Thank you. I'm sure it will be fine!
  13. Stephanievdmeer we are dress twins! Anyone have cups sewn into their gowns or wearing an adhesive bra? I'm really struggling with this.
  14. This is something I'm half way ashamed to be even asking. I am in no way a homophobe, but I have already booked my wedding in key west for may 19, 2013, and am so excited, but a few of my guest keep bring up this gay key west thing. I understand that it's a place where gays are catered to hotel wise, and they feel comfortable there, but is it really everywhere and all in your face?
