Hello all! I am very new to this site and to the wedding planning and am looking for some guidance. My fiance and I got engaged last Spring and have our hearts set on a Punta Cana Wedding! We have looked around and have our heart set on Excellence Punta Cana. We had our very first vacation at Excellence and fell in love with it - yet getting everything organized and making sure we get our guests the best deal has been tricky! I am working full time and in school and my fiance is super busy so our wedding planning has been placed on the back burner - not to mention funding the wedding ourselves! Ideally we would love to get married next Spring most likely. We tried speaking to one woman we were put in touch with through a friend but she didn't seem too knowledgable about the resorts or when the spring breaks were etc.(we have a lot of friends who are teachers!) Has anyone hired a destination wedding planner? Is is a necessity? Does the resort have their own planner? I am so unfamiliar with all this but I would love to get a save the date sent out in the next month or so! Help! Also, if anyone does have someone they absolutely loved please pass their info my way!
