  1. Hi there ... I'm kinda new on here too and have also just decided to get married in Key West! I've been looking at Southernmost on the Beach and Ocean Key. I've also looked Pier House but I can't get anyone to get back to me - probably not a great sign. I've only really looked into resort/hotel locations b/c I could very well have 150-200 people. I'm REAALLYY hoping for only about 100 - 120 though to keep the cost down - is that bad?? When is your wedding?? I look forward to hearing more about your planning! Congrats!!
  2. Does anyone have the 2012 packages for PPR yet?? I was told by Diana that if you book a wedding for 2012 before the 2012 packages come out, they will honor the 2011 pricing but you will have the option to upgrade to a 2012 package. But, I just saw that it says on the website that the pricing is only good for 2011 and to contact them for 2012 info. I sent them an e-mail, but they usually take a little while to reply. I emailed them yesterday to find out how to book. I was hoping to have the option to choose between a 2011 or 2012 package. Anyone have any info on this? Let me know! Thanks!
  3. Thanks BelindaChu for that... Great info!! How many guests did you have at your wedding? Did you opt for the restaurant exclusivity? It seems pretty reasonably priced, I thought looked to be well worth it! I am also curious about the "included decor" ... I feel like the wedding package pricing here is very inexpensive compared to the other resorts that I was looking at, which is awesome, but makes me worry that there's hidden costs I'm not seeing.... I'm curious; when you get the package, opt for restaurant exclusivity and pay the extra $12/person, does that include set up, etc, for all those people or is that just the cost of the dinner and it's going to be an extra $5/person if you want to actually have a table and chairs set up for them - HAHA! Also, do you know if any of the ceremony location options are outdoor terraces or at least have water views from the room? Thanks for any additional feedback you can give! Your wedding looked fabulous and you looked absolutely amazing!! Congratulations!!!!
  4. Hi Ladies .... Anyone getting married at or staying at the Iberostar Grand?? Are the wedding packages different prices for different resorts or is it the same package for all the Iberostars? Any help would be appreciated! I'm sooo wanting to finalize my decision. Also... if anyone happens to have the Packages and Pricing for private reception / extras ... would you please email it to me it you have a chance?? EML113@hotmail.com Thanks Girls! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
  5. Hi there!!! We are focusing on Punta Cana too for our wedding in April 2012; when is your wedding? I'm VERY interested in Iberostar as well! Do you have the wedding packages and pricing yet? I just called the hotel today and asked them to e-mail the complete package to me. I have so many questions and it's kinda tough with the language barrier. If you have any info on wedding packages and pricing could you please email it to me?? EML113@hotmail.com. I LOVE the fact that there are 4 different resorts for guests to choose from and they can all attend the wedding as hotel guests. I cannot seem to find ANY wedding reviews on this resort from past brides, so that's the only thing that's making me a little nervous. Maybe I just haven't been looking in the right places. But, the Tripadvisor reviews are pretty great on all of the Iberostar resorts, so I'm hoping that speaks for itself. Best of luck to you and Happy Planning!!! Will be great to have another Iberostar Bride!
  6. I've narrowed it down to Paradisus Palma Real and Majestic. Thought I was sold on PPR, but decided I should look into ME too since the reviews were a little better just to see if the rates are better, but I can't tell at all either LOL! Glad to see I'm not the only one having difficulty deciphering this price sheet!! The wedding packages that PPR offers is much more simple! Also, I have a question maybe some of you can answer. I keep seeing people talk about dinner at the steakhouse after the ceremony and then a reception?? How are you guys working this out and is it less expensive to do it this way? Do they set up a private area for you and your guests at the steakhouse? And then what do you do at the reception, just drinks?? Thanks for the help!
  7. I actually just heard back from Diana about that question .... She said that it's $25 and they may arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony and must leave 30 minutes after the reception. She said the same applies for the rehersal dinner. That makes me feel a lot better because I was hoping to tell some of my guests about some less expensive options for them. I'm getting married in April 2012 and was really set on booking at PPR but some of these threads I'm reading about them taking you for every penny and changing things up are really starting to worry me. We were really hoping to stay under 15K for everything and have no clue how many guests to expect, so it makes it so much harder to plan. It could seriously be anywhere from 50-120 ..... I don't want to get in over my head here .... Advice from any past or future brides??
  8. Hi Ladies ... I have been reading reviews on resorts on this website and just decided to join and chime in on the great conversation! We're planning on getting married in 2012 too! We were originally sold on April, but I'm hearing from TA's that rates may be a little higher in that month, since it's "Spring Break" time. Anyone happen to know if rates significantly go down in May?? That's really the only other month I would consider if it were a big enough price difference. Thanks for the feedback! So happy to have found this website!!
