  1. I would love to have the flower price list. My e-mail is pkeeping@hotmail.com. Thanks so much for the help!
  2. I have already noticed 3 spelling errors in my last post; I should have re-read before i posted, sorry!
  3. Hi Ladies! I can't believe how fast time is flying.... it feels like yesterday that I go engaged and now less then 6mos away until i will be basking in sun the the GBP. We got our official wedding date March 5th at 4pm. Just a recommendation to future brides who are booking; When we booked they tentatively put me in a 2pm time slot for our ceremony ( which I was not interested in) at first I just thought that I would be able to change it when I got there but after discussing it with out TA she contacted the resort. Paloma sent me a e-mail asking that I let her know right away what time I wanted (which was 4pm) because they have to reserve the minister. She said that it was urgent that i confirm the time ASAP. Glad that I mentioned it to our TA because i would not have been happy arriving there and having a 2pm ceremony. So... I have a few questions. Does anyone know what they charge for extra flowers? I did get the flower brochure but there were no prices in it. We want to order extra boutonnieres and flower bouquets for the attendants and a few other flower bouquets for the ceremony site, and a couple of bags of rose petals. Also, do they have any white aisle runners? And does it cost anything extra for the white chair covers at the ceremony? Thanks Pam

  5. I am pretty sure if you are staying at the Akumal side, you have to have your dinner at one of their restaurants. These are the three that they have on that side. Restaurant Arlequín (Gourmet) 80 PAX Restaurant Dolce Vita (italian) 100 PAX Restaurant Frutos del Mar (fisherie) 100 PAX I don't have menus for them, but I heard many good things from some of the girls on here about the Gourmet and Italian. The poolside reception: D.J is $210.00 per hour Drink options are as follows: Open Bar / extra charge National Bar - 17 USD per person/hour, 12 USD add. hour: Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky International Bar – 24 USD per person/hour, 18 USD add. hour: Beer, Tequila, Rum, Vodka Absolute, Whisky JW, Chivas Regal, Cutty Sark, Cocktails, Gin Beefeater, wine of the house, sparkling wine Special Cocktails – 5 USD per person/ hour, 3 usd ad. hour: Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail & Sparkling Wine Hope this helps ! Pam
  6. Well we are finally booked! Staying at Grand Bahia Principe Coba March 1-March 8th 2012; We are getting married at the Tulum gazebo on March 4th or 5th at either 4pm or the sunset time. This form has been so useful in the pre-booking planing for our wedding, everyone is so helpful and there is so much information on here! I do have a couple of questions, I have been going back and forth if i want do travel mugs for everyone; just wondering for anyone who has done them was it worth?. My concern is do people actually use them? The hassle of transporting them is what worries me the most. But if its something that people really get use out of then i defiantly want to do them. Also, I noticed that a lot of people have been getting those paper lanterns and bringing them down for the poolside reception, where do you hang them from? We are doing supper and the restaurant with a 3hour poolside reception with DJ, and i really want the poolside reception to be decorated. In the pictures that I have seen there doesn't seem to be much decorations, has anyone done centerpiece for the tables? Any feed back would be awesome!
  7. Hi, we have at least 5 kids coming in our group ( ages 2-15) and a few older people, I am starting to get a bit concerned about the size of the resort at the coba location. I want to make sure that the people who are bringing kids aren't' having to take them on a hike every time they want to leave the room. Has anyone else brought kids with them, was the size of the resort a problem? We are bringing a group of 30 ( as least) Does one of the three resorts seems to be more confined? I would appreciate any feedback . Thanks Pam
  8. Hi Christi We are flying our of Halifax, and staying for 7 nights. I just finished contacting our travel agent and let her know that we decided to book at the Gran Bahi Principe Coba so she said she would see what she could come up with for prices. I am VERY exicted!
  9. I am planning a March 2012 wedding in Mexico; We haven't booked anything yet but it's looking like its going to be Gran Bahia Principe Coba. I want to send out like a e-brochure ( once we confirm the place) to everyone who we are inviting with information regarding pricing and information regarding the resort. I don't really know how to go about it though, has anyone else done this?
  10. Hello All! I am so thankful that I found this site, it's been so helpful in the beginning of planning our March 2012 destination wedding. We have decided to book at the Gran Bahi Principe, but are still a bit undecided at which exact resort but are leaning towards the Coba location; It seems to be newer and we like the idea of the three story Villa's. According to our travel agent it's to early to get prices for the all inclusive vacation( we are expecting 25-35 people) and while it's to early to book I would like to give people an idea of how much it's going to cost so they can have the down payment ready. I "faked" booked a trip for this March and it was around $1600.00. for anyone who has recently booked does that seem about right? Also I was wondering if anyone had any pictures they wouldn't mind sharing with me. We are thinking the Tulum gazebo and diner at one of the restaurants with a pool side reception. I would appreciate any feedback or recommendations and will continue reading the all post on here ( I started with the most recent and am working my way back ) Thanks again to everyone who posts on here, I was so nervous when I agreed to a destination wedding ( it's what my fiancee has always wanted ) because I have never been in any of the locations before, but after reading all your post my mind is at ease, and I am getting excited.
