Hi Ladies, I am getting married at the NOW Jade Dec 2011. A few questions for anyone who knows the following: 1) Do they use a sound system / microphone for beach weddings? I am nervous my guests wont hear our vows. 2) What are the length of the rectangular tables used for Bamboo room reception? I would like to bring my own table runners. 3) Has anyone used the Mariachi band? Reviews? 4) I am looking for recommendations for an outside photographer, any suggestions? 5) Has anyone brought gift bags for their guests? Did you have the front desk distribute them? 6) Do they have a larger selection of flowers than what is featured in their wedding book? 7) Pilar said the reception included in the Divine package is only for 3 hours and then we would have to pay an extra $15 per person per hour... is this true? Hi Ladies, I am recently engaged and looking at Paradisus Punta Cana for our wedding. I have a few questions for those brides out there who have had their wedding there! 1) I have been reading reviews and it seems this place may not be as nice as it once was. Outdated rooms, bugs, etc.. Can anyone confirm or deny this? 2) Has anyone had a band? My fiance is set on a band and NO DJ! 3) I may be paranoid but should i be worried about the Cholera outbreak in haiti? 4) I am having over 50 guests, can this resort handle this capacity without major chaos? I have a few questions for those brides out there who have had their wedding there! 1) What was the process for reserving your ceremony and reception locations? I am hearing they dont confirm your location until you arrive at the resort. This makes me nervous 2) Has anyone had a band? Hi Ladies, I am recently engaged and researching resorts for our destination wedding in Punta Cana. I have stayed at Dreams Palm Beach but am looking at Dreams Punta Cana for our wedding. For those of you who have been married there can you help me with the following questions ( the WC I have been in touch with is not very detailed) 1. When you are reserving your locations for ceremony and reception i keep getting told this is on a first come first serve basis. Does this mean when i send in my deposit, my locations are reserved or can i not claim them until i arrive? 2. I was told they have up to 3 weddings per day here. Does this become chaotic or competitive? is there a better day to get married (sunday, friday) to avoid mulitple weddings on the same day? 3. Have any of you had a band play at your reception? I see they offer a "rock band" and a "10 piece band" but that is not very descriptive Thanks!!!
