  1. Congrats ladies....I'm a new auntie too but my nephew is 4 weeks now. Be sure to spoil them rotten
  2. Update!! Stephanie is available and set to do my make up!!
  3. Found this information online: 1) Tell your close family members and close friends (wedding party) your wishes and ask them to pass along the information. This allows you to feel less awkward and gets the information out there. 2) Put it on your wedding website. I have had a few friends write on their site (under a link to “giftsâ€) something to the effect: “Your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could receive. But if we’re honored with a gift from you, a monetary gift or a gift card would help us fill in the missing parts of our life together. If you prefer to give a gift, we have also registered at the following stores…†Something to that effect lets your friends and family know your preference but doesn’t sound pushy at all. 3) Register with a bank. Some banks let you create a registry so that people can give directly to a “wedding fund†or something that you want. In this economy, I wouldn’t recommend that! 4) Register on the websites where you want the gift cards. Most stores let you register for gift cards… that will definitely make it clear to your guests.
  4. I've been looking at Dessy dresses and I love so many of the chiffon dresses. Also they allow you to play with the colors a lot. Just google it. The website will provide a list of retailers from which to purchase.
  5. I will actually be getting married at the Grand Old House but I will definitely ask for recommendations. BTW the email address for Stephanie wasn't right I sent a message and that Stephanie Ford said she had received several emails but she's not a make up artist. I did do some digging and I found Stephanie Ford the make-up artist's email on her twitter page. Its [email protected] I think you forgot the "J"....anyways, hopefully she emails me back. Thanks for all your help!! Tori B
  6. I actually prefer the first one as it has that little touch of sparkle (remember I like shiny things hehe)!!! But either one would be nice.
  7. Ok so being the slacker that I am.... I just saw the photos and you look amazing!! I love the entire look!! I will be emailing Stephanie shortly. I have hair questions too ....Did you get your hair done while in Grand Cayman or did you have it styled prior to your trip?? I'm so lost with that one...PLEASE HELP!! Tori B
  8. Ok So I've been out of town (sorry so late) but I must say I love MAGGIE SOTTERO!!! However, if the Benjamin Roberts dress feel better then go for it!! I love both of them. Tori B
  9. I would love to see photos!! Please share. Tori B
  10. I agree but my mom said the same thing "most ppl will still want to get you something." Another point: Some ppl may not make it to the big day but still want to show support by buying you a gift so......we are just saying gift cards(can't go wrong there) and no one has to spend a ton to get one. We added it to our wedding website after my mom suggested it! Tori B I'm not sure I'm replying to these correctly so pls bear with me

  12. Thanks for being so welcoming!!! O where to begin... well I'm still truly in the premature stages of planning. We really have only decided on the location(Grand Cayman Island, Grand Old House) and the colors (coral and turquoise--to stick with the beach theme). Flowers are a headache for me because every time I think I've decided I spot something new and exciting that just confuses me lol. Our wedding coordinator has been a blessing, she's so patient with all of my changes and she tries her best to make sure I'm happy by the end of every convo---gotta love that!!! But anywho, as for the dress, I have tried on several dresses and still haven't found the one but I hope to do some shopping with my family (Mom and Sister) over the holiday period. The rings have been the easiest part of this whole ordeal---he appreciates very simple styles while I aim for the glitz and glam factors Diamonds are of course a girls best friend . The great thing about it all is he knows just what I want before I even say anything so when we went shopping he just pick up the ring that sparkled the most and said this is it!! lol But its absolutely fitting for my personality. OOOOO enough about me. Bring on the tips and tricks to getting through this process!!
  13. I feel the same way....even though its so far away I still am worried about everything from hair to pedi lol. So any information would definitely help. And Kelli22 please let me know how your wedding turns out bc we are getting married at the same location and have so many questions. It will be nice to hear first hand from a bride.
  14. Sorry to butt in but I love MAC make up it works so well for my caramel skin tone!! I have been looking for someone do my hair and make up once we dock. How were the stylist there? Thanks for sharing, Tori B
