  1. This blog is my new addiction! It is so funny that on multiple occasions I bursted out in laughter and scared my mom. http://www.cakewrecks.com/home/2013/2/27/wedding-is-believing.html Don't forget to check the other non-wedding related entries too. So funny! Gotta love cake!! http://www.cakewrecks.com/home/2009/1/8/hey-bebeh.html
  2. I used a veil and loved it. Loved how it catches the wind and makes for beautiful pictures.
  3. We got legally married 6 MONTHS before our beach ceremony. Trust me when I say it was a long hard wait to put the ring on. We use our beach date as our anniversary date though, and it made our ring exchange all the more special. It was worth the wait!
  4. Both our families are spread all over the world so if travelling was a must, why not travel to a beautiful beach and all enjoy a vacation together!! This also helps keep the guest list small and that is a huge money saver. It is also the first time all of us got together like this so it was super special.
  5. It looks really good!! Love the color of your necklace and shoes too. Are you happy with it?
  6. Such a beautiful wedding! You look gorgeous! I wish I was crafty enough to DIY. Love love love your decor!!
  7. I love the idea of a vow renewal and hope to do one on our 5th anniversary too! I'd say wear your original dress if you love it! It has been less than a year since my wedding and I already don't fit into my dress and had to have it let out when I did a TTD recently. So if you fit into yours, go for it!!
  8. Here is a link from Del Sol on some of the weddings they photographed and you can see some real weddings and the venues. Maybe you can make a list of the ones you like and do site visits. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/4276/del-sol-photography-slideshows-of-resorts-in-the-riviera-maya-10-million-photos As for choosing a photographer, I am biased as they photographed my wedding, but I love Del Sol. They are very friendly, professional and extremely talented. They really tell a story and you will be impressed with their work. Happy planning!
  9. I actually had to scroll twice because I thought you were the model!! Gorgeous!
  10. You can look into Le Reve. They are a boutique hotel on the beach and would be an excellent venue for a wedding. I just got back from my stay there and have to say I was very happy with this hotel. The service and food were excellent and the place is gorgeous!! You can rent out the whole hotel too for total privacy.

    El Taj brides?

If you haven't booked a venue yet, you can consider Le Reve. They are not all inclusive and don't have vendor fees. They are a boutique resort and have excellent food! I just came back from my stay at this hotel and highly recommend them!
  12. I've never been to Costa Rica, but Dominican Republic is absolutely beautiful! I've been to Punta Cana and Samana. Both are gorgeous and have so much to do and see! Definitely recommend it as a wedding destination!
  13. Koh Samui is such a beautiful place!! Some parts of it isn't very touristy, especially if you go private villa instead of the big resorts. Wedding packages are comparatively cheaper, but you do have to consider the cost of flight depending on where you are travelling from.
