Hey Christi, I didn't let them know that Julian was bringing assistants. I actually didn't even know about it. During our meeting, I just said I needed 1 visitor's pass. My hair and make up stylists were a team of 3 and I had inquired about just getting 1 day pass since they were not using any of the resort facilities. They were on the fence about 1 day pass for 3 people but when I went to pay my bill after the trip they had only charged for 1 day pass for the hair/make up team. The wedding coordinators are open to negotiation! Good luck with the wedding! Melanie

Hi everyone! I used the stylists and make up artist from Waves Salon just last Saturday (May 21). Andrea, Lola and Charlie came to the resort (Gran Bahia Principe Coba) at 1pm and did the hair and make up for 6 people. They did an amazing job on our hair and make up. Our wedding was on the Tulum Beach and it was soo windy that even my veil flew off but my hair stayed in place! My bridesmaids loved their hair and make up as well and some of them are very hard to please. I highly recommend their services for your wedding!

Hi everybody! This is Melanie! Julian Molina was the DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job at keeping the party going! Our guests were dancing from 9 to 11pm and could have gone on for more! Julian did a really good job at pleasing the wide age range at the party by switching up the different genres so that everybody was dancing the entire time! The props were also great - balloons, masks, glow sticks! SO MUCH FUN!!! Before the wedding, Julian was very quick to respond to my emails and definitely helped to calm my anxiety and fear for the wedding day. He abided by our song list and was able to fulfill all our requests! He was very professional throughout the entire process and we stayed in contact up until a couple days before the wedding. My husband and I were on the fence about the LED dance floor and we are soooo happy we got it! It was a huge hit and it definitely helped to keep the excitement level up! We did speeches on that floor, danced on the floor, limbo-ed on the floor - it was awesome! There are not a lot of review for Julian on this forum but I definitely encourage all of you to think about hiring him for your special day! Very professional and reliable! THANKS, JULIAN!!! Hello ladies! About 3 weeks to go until I head down to the Riviera Maya. I just had a question about what I should do with my reception/ceremony decor, favors, guest book. Do we give those things to the WC on the day of the ceremony or give it to her beforehand? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations, abbie32! My wedding is on May 21, 2011 and I'm getting very excited I was a little nervous about getting 1 email response for every 6 emails I send out but it seems that many people have said the same thing - the wedding coordinators know what they're doing and it's beautiful at the end of the day! I'm also having a poolside reception for 52 people at Coba. We chose the Caribbean dinner. What dinner did you choose? I love the idea about the money/key card holders - where did you buy these from? And where did you get the insulated mugs?

Hello everyone! I found this project at http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/03/30/diy-coasters/ It's such a cool project not only for wedding favors but for housewarming gifts and for your own home! The materials: Tiles (0.16 per tile at Home depot) Mod Podge ($5 at Michaels) - use the 40% off coupon Sponge brush ($1.50 for a pack of 3 from Target) Rubbing alcohol Scrapbook paper (packs of 8 at Target for 0.99) Cork board or felt for backing Candy sticker labels (found them at Michael's for $5) Acrylic waterproof sealant - I will be using Minwax polycrylic protective finish ($8-$9 at Home Depot or Michaels) 1. Cut scrapbook paper about 1/8-1/4" less than the tile with a paper cutter. I printed our initials onto the candy label and pasted it on the bottom corner of the square. The candy labels came with an online template that I used on Microsoft Word. 2. Clean the tiles with rubbing alcohol. 3. Apply Mod Podge onto the tile. It dries quickly so you have to work fast! 4. Center the scrapbook paper onto the tile. It took me a while to figure out the best technique to avoid air bubbles and wrinkly paper. The best method is to place your index finger in the center of the paper. Then with your other index finger, smooth out the paper from center to the outer edges of the tile trying to get ensure that no bubbles form. Let dry for 10-15 minutes. 5. Apply modge podge again. Wait 15-20 minutes. Apply as many layers as you desire. I applied 4 layers. 6. Let dry for at least 1 week. (So far I am at this stage of the game!) 7. Apply sealant. 8. Let coasters dry for at least 2 weeks. 9. Add cork board or felt to bottom. 10. Package your coasters!

Hi girls! All these ideas are great! Definitely helping with my brainstorming! I think I have decided on using these Borrby candle lanterns from IKEA. They come in 2 sizes... thinking of using the smaller size with candles inside and orange flowers on either side and votives all around for a nice romantic glow.

I'm thinking of making these flower garlands to decorate on the table. Abbie32, I am definitely getting a little panicky. I'm glad someone else feels the same way! Karla, my WC, told me that the centerpiece used during the ceremony will be the only centerpiece provided for the reception. She said that if you wanted additional centerpieces it will be $45. I was thinking of doing a floating flower centerpiece. However, I'm not sure whether it's practical to lug down vases to Mexico in my suitcase. To those of you who are bringing down centerpieces, how are you planning to transport your items? Thanks in advance!
