  1. @@mckievme I just saw your post., sorry for the delay. the brochures are from Vistaprint. they have tons of templates on that website!

It just makes me question the remainder of the resort. I will do my best to calm down! As for the pictures of the day bed I agree, that would have freaked me out as well but I can assure you I NEVER saw anything like that while we were there. Same with the mold on the showers. The only thing I did see was the stained hot tub, which we never used and we did witness the way they wash the cups at the pool... however; none of our 60 guest became sick or anything throughout the week we were there.

For the price that Apple Vacations is quoting to my guests, I will be mortified if it is truly this way. The pictures are really hard to dispute though. The most recent review said the bride and grooms ceiling and balcony collapsed???? I have read nothing but positive things on this forum, but like I said, hard to deny the pictures. Any honest feedback would be great! Thanks, Marta (Panicked Bride) I just happened to see this comment and went over to read trip advisor. I haven't read it in a while! Those few one star reviews are an absolute joke! It was quite comical to actually read them. I truly believe some people are crazy. One of them were complaining of their Ocean View room. They said they had to look to the left of their balcony to see the ocean! Well folks, that's what ocean VIEW means! It means you will have a VIEW of the ocean, just a view. They did not pay for ocean FRONT, there's a difference. Oh, and they found an egg shell in their eggs! The people making their eggs are humans and that happens, could happen at ANY resort/restaurant. And this: "WE were left in the lobby for 5 minutes and were follwed by a bus full of people" What does this mean? They were left for FIVE minutes? Five minutes? Wow, that's not a long time. Oh, and they were followed by a bus load of people?? So what??!!! Some people you just cannot please! I don't understand how that is a complaint! I could go on and on about that review. It's a freaking joke. And now, the review about the balconies caving in and numerous complaints of flooding in rooms within the same review, whatever! They are saying that not only ONE but TWO different balconies caved in! "The bride and grooms balcony roof fell into their jacuzzi" "Another couple that came for the wedding had the roof collapse inside their room," We had 60 guest at the resort for our wedding back in June and nobody had any of these types of problems. What i find most comical about this review and the reason I do not believe anything they say is because of these sentences: "One of the nights there was the typical wedding going on until the bride blacked out cuz the staff sold her ecstasy." Okay, even IF this DID happen, that's not the resorts fault that the bride was dumb enough to buy ecstasy! "I don't entirely blame the coordinator as they have two weddings a day and only one coordinator and she doesn't even have an assistant." I know this is a complete lie, most of us girls here on these boards know there are at least 3 wedding coordinators. "They are giant rats and ants. Lizards all around the rooms. Giant spiders" Yeah, okay, there are giant RATS roaming around the place, yeah right. And for the lizards, spiders, bugs etc, it's the tropics, there is this problem everywhere! Sorry for my rant. We're slow at work this and I had some free time to read these and laugh! Good luck to all future brides. Don't stress about anything! Your wedding day will be absolutely perfect!
  4. Bamboo Room is the best option in my opinion. That's the only thing I would have changed if I could do it over again. Your ceremony & cocktail hour will prob be outdoors. It's a nice break for you and your guest to have an A/C reception indoors, especially in a June. When I saw the Bamboo Room I thought it was great.
  5. Thank You! And congrats on your upcoming wedding. Everything will be perfect! We did provide our own ceremony script, I used this forum and took bits and pieces of other brides scripts that they shared. Gave it to Deisy at our meeting and the officiant read it word for word. (they do provide a script if you chose to go that route) Im sure you can request a copy to read what it says. The beef and shrimp was great and so was the mahi mahi. Our fans were from here: http://m.paperlanternstore.com/9fupahafan.html And the chair sashes from: http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/Hot-Pink-Chair-Sash-p/a16a_sash_orgz_fush.htm Best of luck to you! ;-)

I figure that $65 is a decent price for my piece of mind on the day of the wedding. I have it scheduled for the day before the wedding! I'm super picky about my hair and skipped the hair trial. I didn't want to spend the time or the money. Plus I didn't want anyone to see how I was going to be wearing my hair. I actually loved my hair the day of and I am crazy weird about my hair! Just bring a photo and they'll do exactly what you ask! Best of luck to you ladies!
  8. No, you don't have to pay for drinks. There is a bar right there where your guest can grab a drink if needed. Honestly, not sure of a trip to Costco would be necessary. Just make it known to your guest to eat before or after. There's plenty of food around the resort so nobody would go hungry!
  9. Just an FYI... I requested chips and salsa for our 60 guest hoping they would just throw that in... (I read some where on here that one bride was lucky enough!) But when we got our final budget, they tried to charge us $650 for chips and salsa! We took that off real quick! We just had everyone meet in the lobby bar at 8:30 so most folks ate dinner prior to coming. Maybe one of you girls will be lucky enough to get the snacks thrown in for free! :-) We were not so lucky!
  10. In the reply box you'll see 3 blocks under Reply. B, a paperclip and one beside the paperclip means "image." Click on that one and it will give you the option to upload a pic from your camera roll. Hope this helps.
  11. They filmed about an hour. A bit in the room getting ready, guest entering ceremony site, entire ceremony, and photos afterwards on the beach. The total edited video is about 25 min long. No extra coverage, just used what was included in the Divine Package.
  12. HOT!! It was HOT! Everyone was constantly hot but it's Mexico so we all expected that. Wouldn't stop me going back in June again, but expect it to be hot.
  13. Wanted to share that we received our video today included in the divine package. We loved it & think they did an amazing job! We think Adventure Photos was wonderful for photos & video. Still can't figure out why a lot of brides say otherwise. Oh well--just wanted to share our experience! If your on a budget, do not hesitate to use them ;-)
  14. We booked the regular tropical view room and were upgraded to preferred ocean view as a part of our wedding package. I would just book the Jr. tropical suite and I'm 99.9% sure you'll get upgraded as we did and every other review I've read. We had a lot of folks upgrade their rooms once we arrived, ranging anywhere from $60-$70 per night. I'm just not sure if it's worth the extra money. The room is no nicer than the regular rooms, they look pretty much identical and the same size. We had about half the guest on the regular side and half on the preferred side. The "upgraded mini bar" was a joke and the wi-fi was very spotty in the room, just not that great at all. The only thing that we enjoyed was having access to the Preferred Lounge and having the option of going to Mercure for breakfast. I'm just not sure if having those 2 perks is worth the extra $60+ per night.
  15. The scallops are wrapped in bacon. It's served next to (or on top, I can't remember exactly) of the Mahi Mahi. There is no tortilla.
