  1. I think you look great in the halters but #4 is my favorite. Good look and happy shopping!
  2. I purchased this dress: and can't decide on a veil. I've been wanting to wear a mantilla but am not sure if it will look right. When I was a child I attended a church where every woman wore a lace veil during services and the mantilla's remind me of that. (And they're beautiful to look at of course) I don't attend that church anymore and I'm not having a religious ceremony but I like the idea of that particular veil. My fiance loves the look and suggested a floor length mantilla but I'm thinking it won't look right. I also don't know what to do about jewelry. I really like this necklace I saw on Etsy: but am stressing because I'm running out of time. Did I mention I bought the shoes that match the dress and I really don't like them? I've been poring over shoes for days and my final fitting is this week! LOL, I sure hope the dress looks great because that's all I'm going to have at this rate. Would anyone be so kind as to offer suggestions?
  3. I couldn't decide on a short dress or a long one so I compromised and bought this: White House | Black Market - Our Limited-Edition Bridal Gown I loved the picture, wasn't totally sold when I saw it but was back in love with it when I tried it on at the seamstress. Their size chart is RIGHT on. The only alterations it needed was to pin the fold at the top in a bit (they stuck out too much for my taste) and to resew the lining (it was stitched in some weird way). I go for my final fitting this week!
  4. Not a Maggie Sottero bride but I would be if my fiance had his pick. He went dress shopping with me (our first weddings didn't work out so why not? lol) and like the Adelaide one the most. That was before we decided on this destination wedding. I loved that dress but found one I like even more that I bought for a quarter of the price. He STILL talks about how nice the Maggie was though. Definately a full line of beautiful dresses there.
  5. I'm hoping you had a wonderful wedding!! My seamstress actually asked me if I needed my dress in a week or two. She laughed when I said I didn't need it for at least a month and told me she'll take her time and have it in two weeks. I hope yours did right by you and had both your dresses ready.
  6. Hello! I'm very happy I found this site. It has been extremely helpful in my planning. I wish I could share my wedding date and location but it' s a secret to everyone but the two us right now and I don't want to spoil the surprise. I may "out" us in posts but not in an intro lol. I wish I had known about this site earlier but am grateful I found it when I did. I've come across lots of good people and tons of posts to help me. I look forward to posting about my wedding when it happens and helping out wherever I can.
