  1. Ok I don't have anyone to help me corset the back of the dress so I can't put it on and send u pics today BUT.....its AH MAY ZING!!! I'm sooooo pleased!!! It's so well made and so beautiful! Landy Bridal did an amazing job. NOW i'm ready to get married!
  2. My dress from Landy has arrived. I had it shipped to my job and I'm off today. Couldn't be held in suspense for an entire weekend so I'm going in for it :-) I will be giving you a pic heavy play by play so that you experience it as I do. Here goes nothing!....See u in a few hours.
  3. My bouquet is real touch and everything else is silk. Thanks! :-)
  4. I took a crack at making my own bouquets.. What do you girls think?
  5. Just had my planning meeting with Teresa. She was super sweet (as usual) and it went really well. I feel a sense of relief...and a newfound sense of anxiety lol. I think that the fact that I'm getting married literally just set in right after I got off of the phone with Teresa. I have butterflies and all. *Deep breath* yay I'm getting married! 65ppl including Bride and Groom!....can't wait!
  6. I've been reading this post for a few weeks and I've finally decided to order a 2nd dress. YAY! i ordered from Landy Bridal on Ebay. I totally fell in love with this one. I hate beading and lace but I love drama and I think this dress gives that. I ordered this one b/c it's a pic of one of their actual dresses. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=230593292428&pt=UK_Wedding_Clothing&si=PR3PXoNVwtHGLHw4RzwX9Hm0qOk%253D&viewitemnext=&autorefresh=true#ht_8807wt_1139 I had my first fitting for my original dress (Watters) last week and that didn't really go so well. I'm a size/8/10 but they ordered a size 16 dress for me because I'm an F cup. So of course when I put the dress on for the first time I'm swimming in it and it looks nothing like the floor sample that made me look super skinny and sexy. I just looked pregnant. I'm pretty sure (well not really) that once all the alterations are done that it will look great but I wan't to have a plan B. If all goes well I'd like to wear the Watters dress for the ceremony and the landy dress for the reception. So When I sent in my measurements to landy they emailed me back saying that there must be a mistake. I looked over what I had sent and realized that they must be confused about my bust size--- believe it or not my under bust/back is 33 and my full bust is 43. I had to email them back to let them know that all the measurements are correct and that I just have enormous boobs lol. I'm leaving for DR on May 2nd --They say that I should have my dress by the first week in April. I can't wait to see this dress. I will certainly be posting pic to share with you ladies b/c w/o all of your great input and feedback I wouldn't have done this.
  7. Up late doing some planning and I think I'm confused. So lets say I have 50 guest (including 10 outside guests) and I'm paying the per person Buffet reception fee for ALL of those guests..am I to pay a 95 per outside guest fee on top of that? AND those guests still have to pay for a wedding pass?? The fantasy package includes 20 guests. Over 20 guests you pay 30 per guest. So that $30 for fantasy, $35 for buffet, and $95 for being an outside guest.-- A total of $160 per outside guest? Someone help me figure this one out please.
  8. I happen to be a bridal hair specialist- I have a few DIY bridal Hair videos and tutorials online. Maybe you want to give those a try or maybe show it to your stylist so that she can recreate that loose unstructured look you are going for. I'm really picky about my hair (I guess thats a given lol) so I know how u feel. Here are the tutorials...i don't know if they will be of any help to you but good luck! If you have any hair questions or need any guidance feel free to ask. That goes for all of my fellow PPR brides :-) http://www.glamour.com/weddings/blogs/save-the-date/2010/05/diy-wedding-hair-how-to-create.html http://www.lockandmane.com/blog/2010/12/29/5-minute-new-years-eve-hair-with-blow/

  11. You can ask to deal with Teresa Calcos...she is the Romance Coordinator for North America -that's who I have been dealing with ever since I complained about getting the run around. She is pretty on top of everything. I've had no issues with inconsistencies ever since I've started working with her in Aug. Her son even got married at PPR a few weeks ago and she was kind enough to share some personal pics with me. She's awesome. I can pm u her email if u like.
