TENSING PEN: AMAZING Hands down, one of my new Favorite pieces of HEAVEN ON EARTH. From a luxury travel specialist who has seen some pretty spectacular places!! This little slice of paradise is perfectly MAGICAL!!! Rustic, Luxurious Elegance through and through.

I understand they had 3 weddings there on 10-10-10. Do not believe you are required to stay there to arrange a wedding... check per the email above! Good Luck!

Completely disagree with anything negative about this Property. Magical Place, beautiful people. Some things are just meant to be and the universe has a way of making things happen according to a much larger plan. Perhaps, since the new management of Evelyn and Joseph Smith earlier this year, this is old information. Our experience, in lieu of Tropical storm Nicole on Oct. 2nd 2010 was absolutely perfect!

Tensing Pen was AMAZING. Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise or trys to sway you because they are focusing on the dollars and cents! This magical place worked a miracle for me on our wedding date, Oct. 2nd a few days after Tropical Storm Nicole blew in and they sustained substantial damages... Due to the storm we had to relocate my guests and Evelyn Smith was there for us every step of the way and made sure we got a comparable deal at a local all inclusive property which my guests all loved. Once we got the accommodations covered, she was there to find a new venue for us to hold the wedding.... which was heartbreaking. After the first stop we just had to go back to Tensing Pen and see it. The restaurant/lodge was fully functional and we insisted even with the circumstances, we wanted the ceremony there! Amazingly, they cleaned the place up in record pace and our dream wedding came true. After nearly 3 weeks of rain, that morning the sun came out and shortly after they came and swept me away to my darling Red Birch Cottage. I was pampered all day while they continued cleaning and prepping at record speed. The ceremony was amazing and the sunset - well, best ever. Basically the sky was on fire and we had the most memorable day of our lives. All because of the people at TENSING PEN, the love they exude and the beauty of this truly special place that grew out of the Cliffs. As the Jamaican tourism board says... 'Once you go, you Know" This is my new favorite place! Special and Unforgettable are words that only hint as to the true, deep beauty you will experience here.

Its MY weekend! Yeah! Be at Tensing Pen Sept. 30th - Oct. 7th and CANNOT WAIT! Getting married in less than 5 days now! Whooo hooo! Quite excited and know Tensing Pen is going to be everything we could have ever hoped for! FABULOUS! I am an Executive (Luxury)Travel Consultant and this little place is special! Good luck to All!!

Lots of bar ideas on their website under Weddings: http://tensingpen.com/wedding_inner.html  We finally just cancelled out the limited bar and went full open bar - not alot of drinkers at our ceremony and it will work out to about the same $$$ for us while we are there! (rented out the resort for the weekend of course!)

I am getting Married at TP on Oct. 2nd, 2010 - just a month away! Will try to update you on my experience when I get back!!

Ok, obviously haven't been on here in like - well since I signed up! Haha! All palns are finalizlied. We are staying in the Red Birch Cottage. Our cake is through the hotel and will feature a shell design. Simple, minimalist flowers will be from Tai Flora. Dinners I have a choice of 4 entrees for people, and we went with a full open bar charged to our room. (Not alot of drinkers!) We are having a cocktail and hor dourve reception on everyones first night in. We will be staying at the property for a week, have about 15 guests flying in early with us the first night, then there will be 35 of us there total for the entire resort rental, and then about 12 of us staying later through the week! We are super excited and trying to keep a minimalist vibe going with everything as to stick with the vibbe of the resort! Have wayyy too much luggage planned to go down with us! Anxious for an awesome party! Good luck to you and I will try to check back on here, but have a super busy schedule up until the wedding! I am a travel agent, so booking the resort and handling this all myself... I'm also a control freak! So, very pleased with how things are working out and have enjoyed working with their very pleasant staff for sure!

Ha! I second the motion on wanting the 10-10-10 date, but it was just too crazy and heavily booked! We scraped that idea, changed to a DW for Tensing Pen, Negril Jamaica on Oct. 2nd instead - because it worked out! Hooray for October brides!

I am getting married @ Tensing Pen on Oct. 2nd, 2010! We are reserved and I see you already have answers to most of your questions above. Please let me know if you still have questions, will do my best to help! We opted to rent out the entire property. PS. Tensing Pen just changed over management/ownership in February , so that may be affecting some of your response times. My experience with Evelyn and Camille has been quite pleasant, although it is occassionally on "Island Time"
