  1. Hi there. Â We had 50 guests. I did a buffet set up and felt it was alot easier so that everyone could help themselves to whatever they wanted. Â The buffet was beautifully set up. Just gorgeous - they carved flowers out of different vegetables and took such care in the presentation. The food was amazing.
  2. Hi Everyone: Â I was married at Playacar Palace on May 22, 2010 - Gilberto was my planner, and Carolina assisted. I am a planner myself and pretty much handled all the logistics on my own, but am happy to answer any questions that you might have about it. Keep in mind that though you have the selections you make, everything is modifiable. Â We were married on the beach, had our cocktail hour and reception at the North Solarium. The food was UNBELIEVABLE for our reception, very much different than the regular menu. We decided to go with the traditional Mexican selection (I believe it was Southern Mexican - Im at work, and dont have my paperwork on me but can doublecheck that another time...) Â So, any questions - feel free to ask away! Â
  3. It figures I would stumble across this site mere days before the wedding. This would have been an AWESOME resource in my planning stages. However, its great to be here and read up in the meantime, maybe I"ll get some last minute ideas. My name is Alisha, and my fiancee's name is Chris. We are getting married on Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the Riviera Maya, Mexico! We cant wait!

Thank you for the welcome! Im really very excited. We picked Playacar Palace because I know of some people that stayed there and absolutely loved it. Great reviews. *Food, service, etc. Also, we didnt want a huge wedding here in NYC - our engagement party was ridiculously expensive with 250 people, a 6 hour open bar (top shelf) - and at the end of the night we realized, we didnt get a chance to speak to each other or eat dinner. LMAO. We invited the same amount of people, and we have a small group coming - 35 people. *Which believe it or not is fairly large for a destination. Most people have 10-15. Anyway...we are thrilled and cant wait to get there. We leave on Wednesday of next week...
