Vintage Bride

We included the travel costs in our invites. It lets people know upfront how much they can expect to pay and whether this is in their budget. Why make your guests do more work then they have to? It also makes things easier on the travel agent, so they won't be overwhelmed with calls from people who just want to know pricing and then find out that they can't afford it. Of course it needs to be worded tactfully:)

We sent out our save the dates about 1 year in advance to give everyone ample notice for our DW so that they can organize their vacation time and have the necessary money. In order to get a decent rate we have to book by August 31st for our April 14th wedding. So I am sending out our invitations now (July 1st). I decided it was easier to send out invitations which include all the travel details and costs in it. I have asked that people RSVP by August 31st,as they should know by then whether they will be going or not. Then closer to the wedding I will send out a newsletter telling everyone how excited we are and giving tips about the resort and other things they can expect.

What exactly do they do, and how much extra for this type of show? Actually it seems like there are lots of little extras that I didnt even know were available. If you ladies want to post if you have added anything extra and different from the packages and regular add ons! Hi Everyone, So I am a bit of an eager beaver and am not getting married until April 14th, 2011, but cannot contain my excitement. We have booked our wedding at the Dreams Punta Cana and are expecting around 40 guests to come. While I already have my dress, and a few ideas for the ceremony/reception, I still have lots of planning to do. I love that I have found this forum.
