  1. It's all awesome! Everything looks so polished, you have a serious eye for detail! I love your earrings, I wore the same ones and had the same color theme...so of course I love all your stuff! Congrats!
  2. I used them and had the same EXACT problem. She was supposed to send me the order sheet for weeks and never did until I think 2 weeks before my wedding. I'm thinking she didn't spend a lot of time online and that could've been why, she told me once her internet was down. Needless to say the cupcakes were good/great but not amazing. And she didn't deliver our cupcakes until about 2 hours into our reception. Good thing I could've cared less at that point, I wasn't a super controlling bride. I would've liked them set up before hand but didn't get that, and acutally as a result I think they didn't get eaten much because most people didn't realize they were there, and we had a TON of leftovers. Good luck!
  3. Maui Wedding Magazine with lots of helpful information! http://www.mauiwedding.net/PDF/mauiweddingmagazine-screen.pdf
  4. Thanks! Exactly that, but I used white shipping labels not clear. Because the back of the postcard had a preprinted design that I had to cover. Here's my post in the DIY section.
  5. PRBride11, you'll be able to open them as soon as you have 150 post. You'll get there in no time!
  6. Hi sebitasalejo, I used the regular 8.5x11" full sheet shipping paper like these. Then just cut them with a paper cutter and applied to the chapstick. I used that paper for a ton of my projects! It was really helpful and easy!
  7. I was just Maui'd on 11/6 and we did it all for under $8000 and that was including our travel cost. So the wedding alone was about $5000 something (I haven't added everything up yet). I used Deanne at Precious Maui Weddings too, we had our ceremony at Kapalua Bay, and Reception dinner at Leilani's on the Beach in Whalers Village. I have not one complaint about Deanne, she was awesome and I thought her prices were competitive for what you get. And our dinner at Leilani's was perfect! We had an outside room all to ourselves for about 24 people with no extra charge, we only paid for the food, wine, tax and gratuity. Leilani's was so easy to work with and super accomodating! And seriously everyone loved their food and dessert. I also did things like ordered Lei's for all the guest from Costco for half the price you'd find anywhere else. Maui is expensive in general but there's ways to get deals ;-) Good luck and Congrats!
  8. Actually I didn't include the bracelet info. But I can tell you they were really easy! Bought hemp twine, and small jewelry rings that are made for making jewelry. I'm sure if you go to a craft store and show them what you want to make they can point you in the right direction. Then I looped a sqaure knot (I think that's what its called) around the ring on both sides to create a bracelet. Then bought really thick card stock for the backing. And here's my label I put on the backing. Bracelet Label.doc
  9. Thanks! I did do the STD's myself. Ordered the postcards from Islandartstore.com and made the back. My template for it is here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/64970/templates-galore-a-tiny-bit-of-everything And glad you found the earrings!
  10. And here are some of the postcards from www.islandartstore.com Favors The leis at the ceremony are one favor. Then at each table setting there will be 3 lottery tickets and a 2010 penny for everyone in an envelope. The sand dollar shells are from OTC. OOT bags I got an awesome deal on the bags, CVS was having an end of summer clearance sale and got the bags for 75% off, they are great quality and big! Contents of the bag: The postcards for guest book, photo share cards from Vistaprint and photo scavenger hunt card, welcome letter, maps, and day of timeline. Beer can cozy from OTC, 50 for $15, Do not disturb door sign, personalized chapstick with SPF, Tide sticks, Wisp tooth brush things, sunscreen and aloe vera if I can find it cheap on the island. And when I get there I’ll buy some Maui onion chips and chocolate covered macadamias, and water to include in the bag. I also have some goody bags for the kids that include pool toys, coloring books, bubbles etc. I think that's it! Now time for paradise and to become a Mrs!
  11. Bridesmaid/Parents gifts I got my girls an assortment of things: reusable bag, monogrammed wine glass, notebook, sandals, wine from Maui, tropical lotions and soaps from Bath & Body Works, and chapstick. I also made each a Good Karma bracelet. For the parents gifts I made a card, and in the inside we gave them options to choose their gift. The options are things like a night away to a destination of their choice (we live in Northern CA, so the options are endless – Napa, San Fran, Monterey, Lake Tahoe etc) and then some other options are concert tickets, a night out in Maui, or a day trip to Safari West. And then I’ll probably make them a wedding album from Shutterfly. Ring Bearer Our ring bearer is our son, who will be turning 1 year old the day before we depart for Maui! The shirt is from Kohls, matches the colors perfectly, I was so excited to find it. And the shorts are from Gap Baby, sandals from Old Navy. I made one of the dishes below with our initials in-place of a pillow, but I’m not going to bring it since he won’t be able to walk in the sand yet since this walking thing is a new skill! Guestbook For our guestbook I’m going to include a bunch of the vintage Hawaiian postcards pre-addressed to us in the OOT bags for them to mail home to us while in Maui. And I’m hoping to find a Hawaiian photo album to put them all in to display. I also got a matching notebook that I’ll have at my Bridal Shower and at the reception dinner to sign. Here’s the book and the insert I put in it. more...
  12. Hair & Makeup Here are my Hair and Make-up inspiration pics Flowers Here’s my bouquet inspiration picture. Also the groom will be wearing a Maile Lei, and I’m getting green or white orchid lei’s for all of the guests. more....
  13. Welcome Brochure My Dress My dress is from Alfred Angelo. I kept trying on really light, flowy dresses and they all looked horrible on me. I figured that’s what I needed for the beach. Then I changed my direction and I’m so glad I did! I’m very happy with my dress and I didn’t’ even need to get anything altered, it fit perfectly! If you’re hippy like me ladies, try on a drop waist dress, its super flattering! Accessories My sandals are from Guess, got them on clearance at Off Broadway Shoes. I’ll be wearing a mix of new, old and borrowed jewelry. My something blue is the necklace my FI bought me on our first cruise together; it has blue sapphires down the middle. And I’ll wear either the fake or a real flower in my hair like the picture below. The earrings and wide bracelet are from Macy’s, flower from Claire’s. FI’s suit/dress shirt & sandals FI’s suit is from Banana Republic, shirt from Marshall’s and sandals from Macy’s, but with NO tie. The sandals were a steal at only $7.00 end of summer clearance sale! more coming...
