  1. Hi Lisa, Thaks so much, yeah that helps me a lot, since I don't really knwo what to expect. I will ask Yaly for that spot in front of the gazeebo for the beach bbq (just hope it doesn't rain, as june is the rainy/hurricane season!). The wedding is on June 30 at 4pm, I think Iour wedding is the only one that day, but I'll check with her. She hasn't anwered me yet, I'm so worried!!! But I know now is the busiest time for wedding so she must be going nuts running around trying to answer last minute requests, so I guess she'll make time for us in a couple of weeks... I heard good things about the DVD so I will take that option. I also asked Yaly to have a cuban salsa band play at the wedding, it cost 170cuc per hour, so maybe one hour could be fun after dinner. Thanks for the tip for the sunset, I hope everything will be on time! We will also be 29 people, so if you say 2 dozen candles are enough, that's great I don't need to worry about bringing too much or too little lol!! is the alcohol included during the beach bbq? Like unlimited wine during dinner, or is it just one-two glasses per person? Thanks!
  2. hi Lisa, I went to see your pictures on Facebook and they're AMAZING!!!! There is one of the beach bbq but it's not dark enough to see the candles lighted up...so if you could send me those pics by email or tell me if ever you put them on facebook I'll go and check them out! My date is June 30th, at 4hpm, it's been confirmed by Yaly, from whom I haven't heard for weeks now...I sent her a couple of questions about pricing, she told me the prices were changing and she would come back to me but haven't done so yet..I guess she's really busy with al those wedding, I think april and May are the busiest weeks for weddings. So I hope to see your pics, and I'll take some of your tree when I'm down there! Val xoxoxo
  3. Your picture is beautiful, wow I can't wait to be there I'm getting all emotionnal just thinking about it! I'm on facebook I think he can find me with my email (if not my name is Valerie Farah in Montreal, Quebec), that would be great to see all the pictures how everything turned out! Cause I tried googling pics of the beach bbq and so far I've only seen 2 or 3. For the lighting I will definetly go to Costco (I'm in Canada) or maybe Wal mart, we'll see what is the cheapest option cause I'm just imagining now all the table filled with beautiful lighting, so I want TONS of them!!! The tree idea is really romantic, I hope my wedding is delayed too (lol!) it's great that everytime you'll go back you will have the most beautiful souvenir...I'll be happy to take some pictures of the tree, and if I can't find it I'll ask Yaly where it is!!!
  4. Thanks sooooo much Lisa for your advice! I will definetly bring some battery operated candles and put them all over the table, as well as inside the paper lantern (so clever I never thought of that!). I suck with computer so unfortunatly I don't know how to upload pictures, but I hope you find a way to upload it cause I would really love to see your pictures! And if not you can send them to my email: bebe_valerie@yahoo.com Thanks!!!
  5. But don't they already provide lighting for the beach bbq? I saw some pictures of the beach bbq from other brides, and I see that they set up some kind of lighting with light bulbs hanging from a cable or something... Can anybody tell me if the lighting come from the brides or if the hotel provide that for you for the beach bbq????
  6. Thanks for the info Lisa! I'm so glad your wedding was perfect like you wanted it! I hope you'll be able to post some pictures of your wedding, I would LOVE to see them! Since you had the beach bbq, I was wondering, can we bring paper lanters to decorate outside? In the few pictures I saw of the beach bbq, they provide some lighting, but I was wondering if I could bring large white paper lanterns to put the light bulbs inside them? It would be so much prettier!!! If so, do they help you with installing them as well as with other decoration elements (table runner, candles, favors, etc.) ?
  7. Thanks so much Corobeus! 16 sleeps, wow, not much time left for you, wouhou! !! I would really appreciate it if you could give me your feedback on the different location when you get back, cause it's still making me really nervous, I don't think the quiet beachfront spot is that "quiet" (or maybe not quiet enough for me!), but tell me how it goes! And I think the new gazeebo is on the beach, if I'm not mistaken?
  8. I have a question to Playa Pesquero brides or anybody who have been at this hotel: I'm REALLY shy and I really don't want to get married on the beach where people are sunbathing and watching! I even seen pictures of ceremonies done at the gazeebo and you arrive in a horse and carriage on the beach in front of everybody! People keep telling me it's not so bad cause the ceremony is done in a more secluded part of the beach, but I'm still freaking out!!! I would love to find a really private spot possibily overlooking the ocean, with just me and my guests. Does anyone know if we HAVE to get married at these two spots (either the new gazeebo or the arch on the beach), or is there other places on the beach that we could chose from? I'm looked at a sattelite image of the hotel and have seen a laguna or a small beach that looks totally private, at the extreme left side of the hotel, do you know if you can do it there, or wherever we want on hotel grounds? Thanks!
